Regardless of the outcome of today's game, I want to thank the coaches, players, and all the staff for such an interesting and fun season. So much good stuff revealed this season. Thanks niners, and go kick some ass today!

If today is the last game of the season, at least it's been a fun year where we've exceeded all expectations.

WTF 😳

game hasn't even started and your already preparing for a loss?

For real, at least wait until the first 49er incomplete pass.

Not really? Before the beginning of the season - everyone said this was a super bowl roster and we should compete for it. If we don't make at least the NFCC, that's kind of a failure.

the idea was "we can win with Trey (or anyone) because the teams so good and Kyles play calling". So regardless of qb, we should be where we are (per talking heads).

I'll admit, we have achieved more than I expected. With Trey, I just wanted to see him improve but I didn't really think we would be a top team - I thought maybe a wildcard. Then with Jimmy I was more optimistic cause he was a known commodity. Then Purdy came in and now I'm Rock hard all day.

let's go!!!

Seasons a failure if we lose today at home, we're the damn #2 seed and haven't lost in almost three months.

That's right. As far as I'm concerned anything less than an nfc championship game appearance is a failure. Thinking other wise is Detroit lions mentality.

Agreed. I care not about moral victories. Time to win now.

I'd like to know who thought a Monday game was a good idea for the playoffs. I know it's about the money but what a f@@ked up idea.

Same money-grubbin owner fooz who decided on a 17 game regular season and no bye week for the 2nd seed.
...and weekly Thursday games

Exactly. Seems the NFL had a perfect formula and could've been on cruise control. Now we have this imbalanced 17 game BS and almost half the teams in a conference making the playoffs. The only plus I like with this is that only one seed gets the two week bye (it eliminates the possibility of a team getting that two week bye due to being in a weak division). Other than that, this is all trash.

Hopefully more Offensive Line picks like Burford and Banks is coming in the 2023 draft.

There will be as well as DB support
We aren't losing today, boys. Beat down coming. Book it.

NFL Network talking about 49ers being a legit option for Tom Brady next year. 6 weeks ago I would have been all over it. At this point, I think we have our quarterback(s) of the future and would pass…
I just read a comment I agree with - I think Purdys athleticism will be on full display today. I think he runs for three first downs.

Especially if Niners win the SB

At this point, why even give a bye ? There was something to it when you had the top two seeds get rewarded, because it truly served as an advantage for the best 4 teams in the league. Now the number 2 seed has to play regardless and could possibly be facing a team that is hot going in as the number 7 because they strung together a bunch of wins at season's end, which totally negates the advantage of being number 2.

Might as well play it like the NBA and NHL. Eliminate the bye and give the number one seed to play the 8 seed. The eight seed will be garbage anyways most likely but it eliminates the unnecessary bye and the real advantage is getting home field throughout anyways…

If we win, I don't think Brady would want to come. I'd bet he goes to the raiders or dolphins. He would tear it up with either of them. I think he goes with raiders cause of mcdaniels/Josh Jacobs (best running back this year)/Adams/Waller.

they'll use all their draft picks and free agent signings on D.

Plus proximity to his parents in the bay

We couldn't afford him if we wanted to anyway. I heard we have like 20+ free FA's in the off season that we would like to try and resign like Ebukahm. Then we need to extend Bosa and maybe even Armstead. Mosley I believe is a FA as well. We absolutely need to resign him except I'm concerned about his ACL injury recovery.

I'd look at it the other way. Geno is not much of a runner but he can run. I think a savvy coach like Carroll reviews game film, sees our D's propensity to give up big runs to mobile QBs and tells Geno to take off if his reads aren't open. I hope our LBs are aware of this…
