this play was so odd. I couldnt get a good look at body language etc to see what went wrong.

Did Purdy overthrow?
Did BA give up on the play or run the wrong route?

BA stopped on his post route... it was a vertical stretch in the middle third vs. single high zone... qb reads safety, if safety pauses or bites on the crosser then he throws the post, which is what happened

From the looks of the TV view, it seemed as though SEA played a lot of Cover3 to defend the run (8 in the box). That's why many of the crossing routes were open. They dared Brock to have a good game and he did.
