Not sure how many of you
saw this, but it shows just how delusional Seahawks fans AND reporters are.
How is this report from a Seattle Times reporter delusional? He still hasn't come to the realization that the magic of Russell Wilson is gone. He truly believes Geno Smith will be better. He just doesn't understand, or want to understand, that game changing QB's like Wilson do not grow on trees. He's under the delusion that a career benchwarmer like Smith will be the answer to all prayers. Or that the championship magic of Wilson can be replaced quickly.
It's very rare for teams with great QB's to get another one right away after the first great one retires or gets traded away. The 49ers were lucky because they had Steve Young waiting in the wings after Joe Montana's time was done. But that is a rare example. Not many teams get a second bite at the apple this quickly. Example? The New England Patriots. They went from best team in the NFL to missing the playoffs REALLY FAST. They are looking for another Tom Brady. They may not find him for another 20-30-40 or even fifty years.
The Cleveland Browns once had the greatest QB in all of football. His name was Otto Graham. He led the Browns to six straight championship games from 1950-1955. He won three of them. He was the greatest QB in the NFL for nearly a decade. The Browns have been searching for the next Otto Graham ever since Otto retired.
