This would be absolutely awesome if they did this

It would be even more awesome if they wore them unbeknownst to the league, and Jed said "f*** it I'll pay the uniform fine"

I think it would be awesome if we wore ours and the cowboys wore theirs. Bring some of the candlestick energy!

Cowboys fans keeping their expectations entirely realistic.

San Francisco is a paper tiger

They look good, even dominant, but they haven't played any of the top teams except Kansas City.

Kansas City wiped the floor with them, 44-23.
While Brock Purdy's success makes for a feel good story- and it should- the 49'ers will miss Garappolo Sunday night. Purdy and the Niners have feasted on sub par opponents, but now Purdy has to face the Dallas Cowboys- and all that a complete team has to offer.

The Cowboys won't fold in the third quarter. When the second half starts, Dan Quinn's adjustments will crunch the dreams of a rookie quarterback who has become accustomed to sub .500 teams who run out of gas after they play a close first half. Purdy will find that the Cowboys secondary doesn't lay down. I predict that it will be the 49'ers offense that runs out of gas this time.

So the only question is how the Cowboys offense will fare against the Niner defense. And that will break the hearts of Niner fans. Not only will Pollard and Elliot have great games, but the defense of the Cowboys will add to that with turnovers that assist the offense. With all of that, Dak will play loose, and will have some big plays.

Cowboys 34, 49'ers 14.

Damn… well I guess it was a good season! Should we tell the boys to not even bother showing up?

They said basically the same thing last year. I could have sworn we beat them, in thier house, last year.

Either that or we're doubling down on a few positions to see who hits.

Got to trade up with that 6th and all those 7th's.

Should. With Purdy and Lance on rookie deals, we can keep everyone. How many draft picks would even make the team?

Day 3 picks can definitely make the team and play because of NC's injury thread. Need the pracrice squad players to play better than the first and second string to make it to the playoffs.
Why does this game feel bigger than last year's NFC Championship?
My hatred for the Seahawks is nothing compared to how much I hate the cowboys. I am praying that we wipe the floor with them. Nothing is more satisfying then beating them.

Niners-Cowboys-Playoffs. The colors. The history. Regardless of the round it's as close as the NFL gets to the Super Bowl.
Remember in the 90's, the Boys-49er matchup was the Super Bowl. What I want to see is Greatness.

This is gonna be a tough, hard fought game playoff game, against a very good Dallas team. As many here know 3 out of the 4 remaining NFC teams in the playoffs come from the NFC East conference… They got a lot of playmakers, they are well coached, they don't like us and remember last years lost to us vividly. Oh yea, it's also one of the most bitter rivalries of the past half century in the NFL. This ain't going to be easy… Obviously ,we have to get some kind of running game established with some consistency in order to keep their pass rush honest, cause as many have pointed out, their gonna bring a lot of different blitz packages to try and rattle Purdy. The national media pundits will almost always be singing their praises for the cowpies… so what, who cares, this battle isn't going to be about Talking it's going to be about Bashing…. "Go Niners"

Quinn is fine but McCarthy is mediocre at best IMO.

Good point, Giedi. Those day 3 picks can push those PS players and if they end up being better, it may be wise to keep and use those picks.

I think McCarthy is a very good coach. He's not a cerebral coach like KS but he's a good man manager and let's his coordinators do their jobs. The Cowboys have had a tough schedule and suffered significant injuries throughout the season and he has kept them very competitive. This will be a tough game though I do believe the niners should be favored so long as they do not underestimate the cowboys as many on here seemingly are.

What a game. There will never be another one like it, imo. The birth of a legendary powerhouse.

It was the biggest thing ever as a niner fan. Beyond belief, especially after the early 70's playoff heartbreaks still fresh in the mind. Being 61 years old now sometimes pisses me off, but I can look back at that one thing- that '82 NFCCG with The Catch, and rest assured that I was born at the right time to be alive for this moment in history.
(I exaggerate, but still…)
Go 49ers!

59 here . We ancient.
