Anyways, I don't think the idea behind the play is that bad. The chances of getting a TD from the 41 yard line are far lower then from the 24 yard line and the element of surprise helped that play be successful. They just needed to execute better which is often the case when fans deride one playcall or another. There was a legitimate reason to try that play but it didn't work so people laugh at it now.
Thanks for showing up here Velious. Interesting to get takes and viewpoints from opposing teams's fans. Also interesting that Dallas fans are still the only people I've met or heard who would defend that playcall.
I did write that I thought McCarthy did stupid things and then acted like everyone else had the problem and I think he would agree with your statement above. So strange to me.
