With Dallas, it's always about recency bias. If they were coming into SF after that horrid performance against Washington, we'd be favored by 6-7 and everyone in the media would be talking about how we would annihilate then on Sunday. Instead they showed up and beat up on a team that didn't even belong there, now the media is all over them like it's a resurgence that's never been seen before.

it's the playoffs. Of course it's going to be competitive. But on paper we're a much better team. If you compare the teams from last year we've done a whole lot more upgrading than they have. The tides favor us, as long as we don't choke.

We also beat up on a team that didn't belong in the playoffs.

Seattle belonged. They scraped for the wildcard. Atleast one 9 win team usually gets in. I think what the OP was saying was that the Bucs didn't belong in the playoffs with 8 wins. That usually never cuts it, but because they have a horrid division they had to be in the playoffs.

We needed 10 wins to secure the 7th seed last year. Seattle got in because of poor officiating in the week 18 matchup against the rams. Otherwise it would have been the lions who made it instead.

I get that. I'm just saying I am OK with an 8 or 9 win team getting in through the wildcard. No division leader should have 8 or 9 wins. That's pathetic
Is the media favoring the Cows? I kinda don't like it when media favors a team at times, especially, when it's not the Niners lol.

We must keep our emotions in check this week. The media will blast pro-Cowboys narratives all week. If you really want to know what people think, you gotta look at Vegas and the spread. It went from -3.5, to -4, now to -3. That means people are taking Cowboys points. I expect by the end of the week it will be around -4.5

Only, because Brock is so inexperienced in the playoffs. I think Prescott has 5 playoffs games under his belt, but he hasn't had much success.

I'd say (much though it pains me) that, kicking aside, Dallas has been the most comfortable of all teams that got to the divisionals. We let Seattle hang about for almost 3 full quarters. The margins are now much tighter. Sure, we're more talented - on paper. Sure, we're at home. Sure, we have two more days of rest. But now we must execute, not leave points on the field, not have stupid penalties. This is a very dangerous team we're playing in Dallas, and an even more dangerous one in the officials. I don't believe they favour this or the other team (if they did, they would have given Dallas one more snap last year). They're just bad to begin with, and then they get saddled with terrible rules like roughing the passer, pass interference and what-is-a-catch that are unclear and put them into such stress that they get even worse. The team must execute, and take its chances when it gets them. Be boring and professional about it. Build a lead. Bleed the clock. Be unexciting. Don't look down on Dallas. Yes, their fans are annoying, but so are many fans of many teams (I get particularly annoyed with the entitled attitude of Boston fans for instance). I suspect we're also seen as entitled pricks by other fanbases (and actually, we are). Yes, their owner is especially annoying. Our owners are the Yorks! Pot and kettle situation if you ask me. I can't actually say bad things about their players - if anything some seem rather likeable, which is annoying since I hate the Cowboys.

Let's be a bit less cocky. This is a dangerous game. It's a bleeding playoff game. It will be decided on the details. Let's get those right and crow about it on Monday.

I can't, I am a Big Cock Brock fan..
It's all about the cock.

I wonder what kind of sign people are going to be holding up in the end zone for Maher on Sunday

Cowboys fans keeping their expectations entirely realistic.

San Francisco is a paper tiger

They look good, even dominant, but they haven't played any of the top teams except Kansas City.

Kansas City wiped the floor with them, 44-23.
While Brock Purdy's success makes for a feel good story- and it should- the 49'ers will miss Garappolo Sunday night. Purdy and the Niners have feasted on sub par opponents, but now Purdy has to face the Dallas Cowboys- and all that a complete team has to offer.

The Cowboys won't fold in the third quarter. When the second half starts, Dan Quinn's adjustments will crunch the dreams of a rookie quarterback who has become accustomed to sub .500 teams who run out of gas after they play a close first half. Purdy will find that the Cowboys secondary doesn't lay down. I predict that it will be the 49'ers offense that runs out of gas this time.

So the only question is how the Cowboys offense will fare against the Niner defense. And that will break the hearts of Niner fans. Not only will Pollard and Elliot have great games, but the defense of the Cowboys will add to that with turnovers that assist the offense. With all of that, Dak will play loose, and will have some big plays.

Cowboys 34, 49'ers 14.

Why didn't you post the comments where other Cowboys fans strongly disagreed?

Meh. Dak is soft, he's coming off a big game against a bad Bucs team, so I expect him to regress back on Sunday when the pass rush is getting pressure and forcing INTs

Cowboys are talented, but frauds.

Lol "Psyche!"
I seriously doubt Maher will be playing.

Not real happy about the officiating crew…Vinovich has been the head referee in the Super Bowl twice: notably in Super Bowl LIV (Chiefs vs 49ers)

So we should expect ticky tac OPI's against us and for the refs to go blind when DAL's o line holds and when their pass rushers rough up our QB? Got it.
