San Francisco is a paper tiger

They look good, even dominant, but they haven't played any of the top teams except Kansas City.

Kansas City wiped the floor with them, 44-23.
While Brock Purdy's success makes for a feel good story- and it should- the 49'ers will miss Garappolo Sunday night. Purdy and the Niners have feasted on sub par opponents, but now Purdy has to face the Dallas Cowboys- and all that a complete team has to offer.

The Cowboys won't fold in the third quarter. When the second half starts, Dan Quinn's adjustments will crunch the dreams of a rookie quarterback who has become accustomed to sub .500 teams who run out of gas after they play a close first half. Purdy will find that the Cowboys secondary doesn't lay down. I predict that it will be the 49'ers offense that runs out of gas this time.

So the only question is how the Cowboys offense will fare against the Niner defense. And that will break the hearts of Niner fans. Not only will Pollard and Elliot have great games, but the defense of the Cowboys will add to that with turnovers that assist the offense. With all of that, Dak will play loose, and will have some big plays.

Cowboys 34, 49'ers 14.

Why didn't you post the comments where other Cowboys fans strongly disagreed?

Yeah Phoenix, why didn't you show the Cowboy fans that have some common sense?

Hey I think this game will be close and could go either way. After all, we're now at the point where Brock Purdy needs to win games against a highly ranked defenses. Ditto for Dak.
Hufanga sighting...
I love how so many of the talking heads just refer to the 9ers as a defensive juggernaut with an average offense. I know our D is ranked #1 but am I crazy to say that I think our offense is better than our D? Purdy was a bit shaky missing some throws in the 1st half last week but he still put up 16 points in 1st half and moved the ball every time but once. They punted the ball 1 time, put up 41 points, and Brock missed 3-4 big plays in first half. They literally could have put up like 55-60 points last week.

Love when people talk about "adjustments" lol there is not some massive second half adjustments made at half time…that's fake news and has been proven by players and coaches over and over.

Hey I agree. This game has me worried. Dallas is a good team. But that quote Phoenix posted was a Homer's take. That's why I kid.

Ya there's homer takes everywhere. But general consensus is that the Niners have more talent from top to bottom, have a favorable schedule, but the teams are similar in many respects. And until proven otherwise, Dak is still a better QB than Purdy, but that could change Sunday.

Don't you fret my friend, Brock WILL prove that Sunday. There, that's my Homer's take.
Game feels like truly a toss-up. Biggest key is stopping Dallas' pass rush. This game, well.. like most games.. will be won in the trenches.

Whichever QB faces the least pressure and/or handles the pressure the best will perform the best. It's going to take everyone playing their best game at this point. Dallas and Philly are the best two teams left in this playoff race, and I expect both will have to be beaten to get to the Super Bowl.

The Niners have a better pass rush and Purdy has shown that he can move out of the pocket and make plays better than Dak. When Dak is forced to move he starts throwing INTs.

Sounds like Jason Peters might not play, he was their starting LT. That OL hasn't been close to the old Dallas OL. They might be down their stud safety as well (Hi George) and their secondary overall is questionable.

we need to stop Pollard and explosives. Send some pressure and keep tackling like we have.

Honestly we're the better roster, better coaching, have extra time to prepare, are playing at home.
Dallas pass rush/pass defense was better last season than it has been in 2022.

I heard Tyler Smith played good at LT vs the Bucs. But how good was the Bucs pass rush?? They didn't have their star pass rusher I forgot his name??

Honestly I'm not too worried about the 9ers run defense and their ability to stop Pollard or the other guy. It's the secondary I worry about, they have given up some big plays the past few games. And it could get ugly on Sunday if the refs refuse to call holding on their O-line like they did in Las Vegas. Also look for Dak Prescott to pick on Hufang, with all the awards he's gotten he's #1 on defense for giving up the big play.

Prove me wrong Hufanga!!!
