Dallas pass rush/pass defense was better last season than it has been in 2022.

From week 10 on they're 18th in pass D DVOA and currently rank dead last vs teams WR2. Kearse Imo is their best coverage DB, if he's out that's big.

Dak led the league in INT% and INT (15) and SF lead the league in INTs
looks like no rain for Sunday

Surely any game can go any way yet I don't see the concern that's creeping over the fan base.

9ers haven't shown any tendency of collapse in 11 weeks. they aren't suddenly going to fall apart.

Done deal!
I have heard a few talking heads say something on the lines of "Dan Q knows Klye better than anyone so he can work that advantage". In my head this is a huge advantage for Kyle.

He know Dan's rules adjustments and counters from the inside. Klye does not have to spend time learning them but instead think how dan might counter instead. All while knowing what to attack to get them out of what they want to do.

It will be interesting to see if Dallas comes out doing things differently or quickly changes. Looking forward to Jonnys break down on there normal tendency so I can be smart enough to look ...

Good point. The team has been remarkably steady. Sure they get fired up and excited at times but I haven't really seen them get inappropriately exuberant and definitely no tendency towards despair.

Yeah I mean I would take this as a massive advantage for Kyle, not Quinn. SF had 170 yards on the ground last yr vs them and we have a QB that can move and who's not all f**ked up.

FWIW I don't know of a former/fellow defensive coach that's "out coached" kyle after they played?

guys like Morris, Quinn & Pettine have gotten spanked.

I nearly died during this game. I screamed so loudly that my mother nearly died from a heart attack. But if Lawrence Pillers doesnt sack Danny White and Jim Stuckey doesn't recover White's fumble, this game might have gone down as the worst loss in 49ers history.

What a game. There will never be another one like it, imo. The birth of a legendary powerhouse.

My guy.

I can absolutely 10000% relate to what you are talking about here!!!

Glad you were able to enjoy it. I was alive for '81 and 10 miles from the Stick when this happened, but was only about 18 months old.

To those that were around for it, I agree nothing for them will ever be better.

I do think for those of us who joined the party once Montana and co got rolling mid '80s, the next one probably will be our best.
The niners have a much better rushing attack than the bucs and the fact that we have more rest time than the boys is gonna play right into that

our OL is gona come out an push them around and establish the ground game dominance in the first half. Our guys will be fresh and will be able to execute our rushing attack easily on a cowboys DL that is not spectacular at defending the run and is worn out from a late MNF game

our DL, which has been quiet lately, will also be fresh and able to take advantage of a cowboys OL that is beat up, missing guys and still recovering from that MNF game. We win this game with our rested lines dictating our game plan.

Lots of cockiness around here. Confidence is good, but this is the playoffs and all teams are good to get to this point. I'd say (much though it pains me) that, kicking aside, Dallas has been the most comfortable of all teams that got to the divisionals. We let Seattle hang about for almost 3 full quarters. The margins are now much tighter. Sure, we're more talented - on paper. Sure, we're at home. Sure, we have two more days of rest. But now we must execute, not leave points on the field, not have stupid penalties. This is a very dangerous team we're playing in Dallas, and an even more dangerous one in the officials. I don't believe they favour this or the other team (if they did, they would have given Dallas one more snap last year). They're just bad to begin with, and then they get saddled with terrible rules like roughing the passer, pass interference and what-is-a-catch that are unclear and put them into such stress that they get even worse. The team must execute, and take its chances when it gets them. Be boring and professional about it. Build a lead. Bleed the clock. Be unexciting. Don't look down on Dallas. Yes, their fans are annoying, but so are many fans of many teams (I get particularly annoyed with the entitled attitude of Boston fans for instance). I suspect we're also seen as entitled pricks by other fanbases (and actually, we are). Yes, their owner is especially annoying. Our owners are the Yorks! Pot and kettle situation if you ask me. I can't actually say bad things about their players - if anything some seem rather likeable, which is annoying since I hate the Cowboys.

Let's be a bit less cocky. This is a dangerous game. It's a bleeding playoff game. It will be decided on the details. Let's get those right and crow about it on Monday.

Are you under the impression that fans on a message board have a tangible impact on the game?

Lol. Hysterical.
