He know Dan's rules adjustments and counters from the inside. Klye does not have to spend time learning them but instead think how dan might counter instead. All while knowing what to attack to get them out of what they want to do.

It will be interesting to see if Dallas comes out doing things differently or quickly changes. Looking forward to Jonnys break down on there normal tendency so I can be smart enough to look ...

Yeah I mean I would take this as a massive advantage for Kyle, not Quinn. SF had 170 yards on the ground last yr vs them and we have a QB that can move and who's not all f**ked up.

FWIW I don't know of a former/fellow defensive coach that's "out coached" kyle after they played?

guys like Morris, Quinn & Pettine have gotten spanked.

But last year he didn't know Kyle better than anyone? Dumb statement
The way I see it is Dallas might hit a few big plays early during the 1st half. Niners will have to match or stay close and not let Dallas get a big lead, 7 or less. In the 2nd half I believe we will make adjustments and wear them down and force Dak into mistakes and we will win this by 10-17 points. I would rather we blow them out start to finish but our defense has been giving up big plays to start and then settling down after. Jmoo. Go Niners.......

I am similar. If someone suggests it is a wash I'm not going to argue with that either. Don't see where it is a net positive for Quinn though.

Also agree on Jonny's videos. Improves my post, pre and in-game experience.

San Francisco is a paper tiger

They look good, even dominant, but they haven't played any of the top teams except Kansas City.

Kansas City wiped the floor with them, 44-23.
While Brock Purdy's success makes for a feel good story- and it should- the 49'ers will miss Garappolo Sunday night. Purdy and the Niners have feasted on sub par opponents, but now Purdy has to face the Dallas Cowboys- and all that a complete team has to offer.

The Cowboys won't fold in the third quarter. When the second half starts, Dan Quinn's adjustments will crunch the dreams of a rookie quarterback who has become accustomed to sub .500 teams who run out of gas after they play a close first half. Purdy will find that the Cowboys secondary doesn't lay down. I predict that it will be the 49'ers offense that runs out of gas this time.

So the only question is how the Cowboys offense will fare against the Niner defense. And that will break the hearts of Niner fans. Not only will Pollard and Elliot have great games, but the defense of the Cowboys will add to that with turnovers that assist the offense. With all of that, Dak will play loose, and will have some big plays.

Cowboys 34, 49'ers 14.

Ohhh joy. I would love to hear what he has to say after the game.

Paper tiger. Sounds like Skip Bayless illogical line of reasoning. Says what they will do, but leaves out how exactly how they're going to do it.

I love this idiot's take.

What he doesn't take into account is that Garoppolo hasn't had this level of consistent success against any competition........great or not so great.

If Brock doesn't maintain what he's done so far (implying only Garoppolo can keep up that resilience), then maybe he has a point.

The whole rookie thing maybe an issue.

However, given how the D has carried the Niners last postseason, not sure I'd be worried.
any stats on how Dak plays on grass?

Not as good as he does on turf.

Parsons said he was sore for two weeks after playing us last year in the playoffs.

Cowboys know what's coming this time, but can they stop it

I'm calling Parson's being over hyped up and getting called for multiple off sides.

He can still make plays, though.

Kyle over Quinn with what they do week to week.

I agree. Kyle also out schemed Quinn last year. All the Cowboy talk is to drum up ratings for the game.

Dallas pass rush/pass defense was better last season than it has been in 2022.

Our offensive line last year was banged up, missing starters.

IIRC they had no sacks
I watched Dallas vs Tampa again and I'm no film guru but I'm finding it difficult to use that game as any kind of meaningful measuring stick as to how Dallas is going play vs SF. Tampa played really bad, I mean terrible. Watching the game again made them look even worse than they did when I watched it live. They looked really slow, all over the field.

Looks like Dallas pretty much did what any playoff team should have done vs very subpar competition. I really doubt that game prepared them for what they're about to face. Maybe one of you film guys can weigh in.

I believe if you insert Seattle into that game instead of Dallas, they would have whooped Tampa also.

He didn't do much in last year's game.
Dak had a clean pocket with no rush up the middle. The 49ers bring pressure off the edge and are really quick. One thing to mention is the speed of the linebackers, they cover a lot of mistakes. When Dak runs to the outside be ready to get his bell rung.
