Or, he wants the 49ers to think that so they use Warner as a spy thus opening up the middle of the field for their TE to do some damage.

Well he's not wrong about our inability to stop rushing QBs.

Yeah, but Dak doesn't pose much of a threat when he runs.

I think one of the front 4 would be designated spy and only hard rush Dak when he picks a lane. I recall the Rams using Ebukam this way against Wilson and Seahawks.

Yeah I would put Purdy as more of a rushing threat than Dak.

What team "stops" a rushing QB? I have yet to see teams completely shut down a QBs ability to scramble. Let him run, he's gonna get laid out at some point. It's not like Dak is gonna break loose on a 70 yard run like Fields/Jackson. He's not gonna truck people like Allen and he's not twitchy like Hurts.

He didn't do much in last year's game.

What about the rest of the games he played on turf? I'm sure he played well on those grass fields.
I just read some review that had stats that show he does better on turf. But that didn't help last year in Dallas when the Niners beat them. We were not fully healthy nor did we have CMC or Purdy. Look up his stats.
Is Josh Johnson good enough to imitate Dak in Practice? Not sure how similar they are. Of course he is no where near as good, but maybe he can do some things similar to him in practice.

Jimmie Ward is licking his chops whenever a QB escapes the pocket. He will take the 15 yarder just to lay some punishment on a QB.

any stats on how Dak plays on grass?
Not as good as he does on turf.

He can still make plays, though.

Yea they mentioned the Cowboys suck on grass during the broadcast. Then they went to Tampa (grass field) and spanked them. Does Dallas not suck on grass anymore, or was Tampa that bad? I think Tampa was that bad

The one "long" run I saw Dak have vs the Bucs was on 3rd down, when they were playing man. You can't really do that vs a QB that has any ability to run imo.

Geno is a bigger running threat than Dak imo.

Totally

You are correct. Despite blitzing 50% of the time and getting pressure 42% of the time, they had 0 sacks.
And that was against Jimmy G who compared to Purdy is not as adept at evading the rush. So I guess we will see......
