Now use your same argument against Dallas. You, like Cowboys fans, are suffering from recency bias. You saw a Cowboys team destroy a Tampa team that didn't belong in the playoffs. The same team we blew out by 28 points a few weeks ago.
If we play to our potential, no one can beat us. Too many weapons. We beat this same team last year in their house with a banged up team running the gimmick Deebo offense.
This team is much better and healthier than last year and we're at home.
Tua missed
some guys because of pressure, sure. But there were a multitude of plays where pressure was non-existent, and still Tua was either inaccurate, or failed to see a wide open player. Tua played poorly in the first half, and many of his mistakes were self inflicted. Full stop. To suggest otherwise does not align with reality.
My opinion of the Cowboys has nothing to do with their performance versus Tampa Bay. I didn't even watch the game until Tuesday night because I knew it would not be close. Tampa Bay got in because their division is awful. They were a "playoff team" only because someone from that division was guaranteed a spot.
The whole playing to potential is, literally, the point. Games are not won on potential, they are won on execution. I outlined this is the very post you quoted. And last year is irrelevant. Dak keeps talking about last year too. Who gives a f**k?
As I said, if the 49ers execute, especially as it pertains to Pollard and Parsons, this game will not be close. But, I think Pollard has a decent to good game, though I believe Parsons, due to Kyle (scheme) / offense (execution), will be ineffective. As such, I see this as a high scoring game, where the 49ers win by 7-10. 38-31 final score (approximately).
