Oh, this is going be good.

I mean he'll probably rebound. It would be tough to miss 4 XP's again. That's almost impossible. If he makes one or a FG he has redeemed himself. He just had a bad day. A really bad day

Good for Dallas. This is a reactionary league. That was a single game. Don't panic

As far as how we will far agains the Cowboys...I think it depends on which team shows up.

Their past 6 weeks have been uninspiring at best.

  • Eeeked out a win over the (3 & 13) Texans.
  • Slipped past the Jags.
  • Beat the (no Hurts) Eagles by 6 pts.
  • Beat the Titans.
  • Lost to Washington
  • ....and beat the limp Bucs.

Frankly, I really like our chances to roll right over these guys.

Yea every great team that has 13 or 14 plus wins usually has some cake built into their schedule. Look at the Chiefs for example. They're 14-3. Of those 14 wins, they beat AZ, Tampa, LV x2, Titans by 3 (no Tannehill), LA Chargers x2 (they have their number), Rams, Broncos x2, Texans, and Seahawks. That's 12 easy wins imo. They had two respectable wins which were the Niners and Jags. When they faced the other top teams in the league, they lost (Buffalo and Cincy). They somehow laid an egg against the Colts.

But you know what? They're a great team. They won most of the games they should have. Anyone that says Team A who won 14 games is weak because their schedule is weak, is wrong. It's called taking care of business.

So the Vikings were a legit contender that just had a bad 1st round?

There are always outliers. Plus I think most people knew they were frauds. Been saying it since week 5. I'm actually not sure what you're trying to say. I'll clarify that the Niners, Eagles, Chiefs, Bills, Bengals and yes the Cowboys got 12-14 wins because they had some cake in their schedule. But they were all good teams and won most of their games.

The Vikings got lucky most of their games but everyone could read between the lines with them.

What if the Chiefs had to play the Bengals 2x, Bills 2x, Jags 2x, Niners, Eagles, Cowboys, and other decent teams like Miami, Ravens, etc. They certainly wouldn't have 14 wins.

Everyone, in hindsight, is a product of your schedule. No one could have predicted how bad the Broncos would be, the Chargers not taking a step forward, and the Raiders sucking (well maybe some did). Chiefs are great and took care of business. Niners are great, started bumpy, but took care of business.

Every great team, one could say, has an easy schedule.

He won't have a chance to kick anything aside from the dirt and his own ass after this contest

I could be wrong and hope I am but we may see more Cowboys fans here in the stadium then any other team that has played here yet. There seems to be a fair concentration of silicon valley implants from other places that remain loyal to Dallas. I see a number of stickers and jersey's throughout the year here.

If it comes down to him needing to make a long field goal, I don't see how Maher doesn't psyche himself out.

The Vikings won 11 games by one score... Let that soak in. That kind of luck just doesn't hold in the playoffs. ...as we've now seen.

I don't know about that. Kickers in a slump often take a long time to recover. Missing 5 straight XP is a serious slump.

David Akers and Mason Crosby were good kickers, but both of them had slump in 2012, and that slump impact them the whole season.

If you have problems with XP, you have a problem with any FGs. The Cowboys will probably be more aggressive to go for it on 4th down. Mike McCarthy can say otherwise (he has to say what he has to say), but he can't have too much confident in his kickers in any FGs and XP, especially the longer FGs.

He might rebound, but now he's in enemy territory and the crowd knows what has transpired and what is in his head. THAT's what will be good to see and hear.

Ya he missed an xp in the final regular season game too. I would guess it'll be a bit of a factor .

It's unbelievable to me that Bill Maher can even suit up and kick FGs. No one should be surprised he sucks

Reminds me of the Raiders last year where every bounce went their way and they cashed in a bunch of last second wins.

fast forward to this year and 10-7 became 6-11.

regression to the mean.

Yup it will be 50/50 if we don't watch it which will be kinda embarrassing

Doubt it. This is THE biggest rivalry (historically) in the NFL. Why would anyone sell their tickets off when you could be a part of history. I think the Niner fans show up.
