Here's a nice breakdown video from midseason about DAL's defensive tendencies:
tldw: they play man and stunt a lot.

DAL offensive line is being shuffled around. It explains their struggles versus WAS in week 18. They may have lost their left tackle so they shuffled things around versus TB last night.
https://www.dallascowboys.com/news/hats-off-to-this-offensive-line-shuffling-along
Biadasz was back at center. Great, but the Cowboys still did a little shuffling. They started the game as they left off in Washington. Tyler Smith remained at left guard. Peters remained at left tackle. And in a throwback to last year, McGovern manned the fullback role.
"Early in the week they came to me and asked if I was willing to go back to fullback," McGovern said. "So, in the past two weeks I've played center, fullback and guard."
Oh yeah, guard again. See, with 1:54 left in the first half Peters suffered a hip injury, and likely one keeping him out the rest of the way in the playoffs. Connor then scrapped the fullback deal. Sean McKeon can do that. You move to left guard.
And hey rook, Tyler Smith, now you go back to left tackle.

DAL defense leads the league in forced fumbles (22) and fumble recoveries (17). That is a very high rate of recovery, which is sometimes attributed to luck (bouncing oval shaped ball). They lead the league in overall turnovers forced (INT + fumbles recovered).
49ers lead the league in INTs.
This is the two top teams in the NFL in turnover differential.
SF: +13
DAL: +10

Thanks. Two good teams. Someone during SEA week posted every single DVOA stat (passing, rushing for both offense and defense).

They are similar in a lot of ways, but we're a better roster (with a rookie QB who to this point has passed every test with flying colors).
Dak's never won at this level. Most of our team has.

watching this I am so happy we have a genius coach that saw the writing on the wall and moved us to a more gap/power scheme.

This matchup is as pretty close to a pick'em game as you can imagine. As you've highlighted here, both teams have swarming defenses that change games. Can Purdy continue to play as close to mistake free football as he has? Will SF be able to run the ball on DAL like they did a season ago?
If I had to place a weekspot on the SF defense it would be that they seem to be giving up far too many over the top deep shots in recent games. DAL is certainly capable of capitalizing on that trend.
I'm nervous but excited.

DAL likes to play man, and often plays with off coverage alignment. This will invite quick screens to Deebo. I can imagine putting trips to one side, throw the quick screen, 2v3 blocking and ask Deebo to break one tackle...YAC.

49ers are #13 DVOA against tight ends. The Cowboys' Dalton Schultz, Christian McCaffrey's teammate at Stanford, is certainly a concern for them.

Dallas personnel is similar to the Raiders' (good RBs, good WR1, good TE) in that the 49ers' discipline vs play-action will be tested
