What? It's been 49 consecutive games since dak has had two straight games without a turnover. The last time it happened was the last game of 2018 and first game of 2019.

I'll get into the PHI game in due time. Still so happy about sending DAL home two years in a row. Funny how the two teams hadn't met in the playoffs in 25 years, then play each other in consecutive years (playoffs). Now DAL has a number of free agents and Dak's cap hit goes from $19 this season to $49 in 2023.

I just finished watching the game's condensed version on the NFL+ app. A couple things that jumped out at me.
Our defense was hitting hard out of the gate. By the end of the game, those DAL receivers were a lot less energenic than our secondary, to put it simply. We generated enough pressure to force Dak into bad decisions throughout the game. Fred Warner had one the best games I have seen from him. Nick Bosa may have not flashed on the stat sheet but he and that defensive line held their own in the run game. DAL biggest play came when both Arik Armstead and Nick Bosa were standing on the sideline.
On offense, we came out with a very vanilla game plan. Our run game was meant to just lay body blows throughout to create more time in the pocket for Brock late in the game and it paid off. As Brock was able to make some clutch throws on 3rd down late in the game. He did have a pass tipped that Diggs almost came away with and that poorly placed pass to Aiyuk where he should have lead his guy toward the pylon. Other than that, he was pretty consistent.
Like I said though. It was a very vanilla gameplan. Punish DAL on both sides of the ball, win the turnover battle and control the clock. I almost feel like we knew we could win this type of game against DAL and that we didn't want to put too much on tape for PHI. DAL and PHI defenses are very similar that they both rush the passer well and are good at forcing turnovers. DAL defense are better tacklers while PHI is better in coverage. We are a YAC offense and Kyle knows how to scheme holes open in a defense.

For anyone who watched our season end in back to back years to DAL this is especially sweet.
In those 90s battles, it was pretty much known whoever won between those two would go on to win the SB. They were clearly the two best teams in the NFL.

Three observations coming home from work today and not having watched any post game media shows since midnight last night.
1) NFL needs to get rid of the MNF playoff matchup. Not making excuses for Dallas but you could see the fatigue hit them in the 3rd quarter on. I mean, credit to them, they were matching us punch by punch and then you saw in the third when Kyle dialed up the physicality with the run after run and inside throws letting Kittle just beat up that secondary. It's not fair for the NFL, for the sake of money, to put any team in that type of position.
2) Pollard was a HUGE loss. I mean HUGE. Not that if affected the way we were playing, bc we had him holed up pretty much in the first half, but not having that pressure release valve available made Dak look pedestrian in the second half. What were they ? 5/15 on 3rd downs all game I think. I give all the credit in the world to our defense, but when you have an average QB like Dak, he needs all the help he can get.
3) WTF is up for all the Cowboy talk on media circuits today ?! I come home thinking I'm going to put on some recorded shows all about Niner love. Instead it's all about how the Cowboys "should have" and "could have" won this game….how they matched up vs the mighty Niners pound for pound…and what they can do NEXT year to make it to the Super Bowl. No f**king love for our team that has won 12 straight being led by a rookie that looked more poised, more consistent, and more dangerous than the 7 year vet.
f**king A !
