Maybe. I would also call it one of Kyle Shanahan's most conservative of gameplans. How many times did Kyle dial up a play that would allow Purdy to wing it downfield? By that, I mean a play designed to be a home run ball. Short answer: ZERO. Did the Dallas pass rush negate those opportunities? Perhaps.
How many times has Purdy missed on a home run ball? A few. But he's also hit a lot of them. He hit them against Tampa Bay. He hit them against the Seahawks in Seattle. How many times has KS dialed up a halfback shot into the endzone? Or letting Deebo wing it? Once this season. Once last season. How many times has KS called the Hollywood play? Once. Against Seattle. And, yes, it was a play that resulted in a Kittle TD.
We know KS has these plays in his back pocket. We also know he rarely uses them.
