Romo was a really good quarterback, if Purdy has a career like him, I'd be absolutely psyched. The Cowboys are screwed because the culture sucks. The culture sucks because Jerruh just won't ease up on trying to run everything and thus they wind up with these milquetoast coaches that are more yes men than anything and no matter the talent, they can never quite seem to put it all together.

Part is the Jerry Jones culture, and part is the pressure and aura of the Dallas Cowboys. Especially playing QB. You're always expected to win the SB, so its hard to build towards that goal when each failure makes you worried about your job.
Replay just started on NFL Network!
My voice still isn't right from all the yelling.
Oh God, how I love the ending of the replay!

Hey guys, I'm going back and forth with a Cowboy fan acquaintance on social media.

You know, excuse city. Anyway, he sent a link to a casual fan observation that on Kittle's bobble catch play, he was an ineligible receiver because he was "covered up" by the FB on the LOS, kittle being lined up on the LOS.

I'm vaguely familiar with eligibility rules, but I don't know about this one. Then I saw Kittle's presser where he said "Yea, I wasn't even a read on the play," implying the coaching staff knew by his alignment he was ineligible—they didn't have him as a read by design.

Does anyone have any input on this?

He was eligible. He wasn't covering(lined up next to) a lineman, it was juice inside of him. Making him eligible.

I would tell him he's right and that the 49ers cheated. I think that would upset him and be funny.

You can go through plenty of plays and find penalties that aren't called. Illegal contact, holding, etc. If Kittle was defended like the defense thought he was ineligible I'd say yeah that was a missed call but they defended him and our guy made a play so enjoy the L and the off-season.

Thanks all for the responses, which echo my sentiments exactly. I took all those routes with him, yea we cheated, enjoy the L, etc.

I'm not here to argue but looking at the play, juice was outside Kittle, off the LOS. Kittle was next to Williams, appearing to be on the LOS. Juice was outside of him, and back about a half yard. If that's the case, is Kittle ineligible?
