How does the Eagles' D-line compare to what the 49ers just faced in the Cowboys?
— David Lombardi (@LombardiHimself) January 23, 2023
Pressure rate...
1. Dallas: 44.9%
2. Philly: 40.1%
Sack rate...
1. Philly: 11.2%
2. Dallas: 8.9%
Remember sacks can be QB-dependent. Pressures are more indicative/predictive of pass rush success

I'm worried about their defense, but more worried about their offense. Running QBs are the kryptonite of the Niners defense.

I think Dallas has a more explosive D line though - they were BLOWING up the o line. If they play like they did in the second half, we have a chance.
this eagles defense is no joke though. Serious pass rush. Our defense will need to lead this win, we can't really afford to get behind.

As long as we can get our Running Game going, we can expose that Eagles Defense.
Defense just can't give up the big plays.

I'm confident we can beat them, though. This Is our year.

if we can contain the run, we will be in a good position.

70+ sacks from the d line is a scary stat. We will have to play another super clean game. O line needs to really step it up this week and get our run game going.
defense needs to contain the run and get pressure/hits on hurts. I don't want the guy hurt, but I want him hurting.
also, outside of the giants game - Hurts usually sucks in the big games, going back to even college.

The Eagles can pass rush, but can they tackle well? I mean, I see Shanahan doing another down and dirty game plan for the Eagles.
The 49ers defense is ranked #1 in tackling and the eagles defense is ranked 14th.

It really is as simple as this. I would add the continued need to take care of the football, but that's obvious.

What happened against Dallas? Eagles have better corners
