He ran for 82 against us last year but the thing that scared me was that he wasnt afraid to chuck it deep against us down the sidelines and now he has AJ Brown

Yea DR gonna have to try something to slow down his running....our De's must play to contain and not give up that outside leverage

I think it's funny that people say we haven't beat anyone, when the only team with a worse SOS than us is the eagles. They are a very good team though. I think we will win, but it'll be tough and in a tough environment.
Where do you see that eagles has a weaker SOS?

70+ sacks from the d line is a scary stat. We will have to play another super clean game. O line needs to really step it up this week and get our run game going.

defense needs to contain the run and get pressure/hits on hurts. I don't want the guy hurt, but I want him hurting.

also, outside of the giants game - Hurts usually sucks in the big games, going back to even college.

Yeah that's the funny thing people don't get. They got 70 sacks. The 84 bears only got 72 which is the all time record.

We have a chance but it's only a chance. They are definitely the favorite to win this game.

It won't be surprising if we see mglinctchey get ragdolled again and banks gets destroyed.

Hopefully the line can pull it together. If they do Brock can at least put up points and give us a shot.

How do you limit sacks? Realize most of the league is QB happy pass happy and content to chuck. For example Bills ran it 19 and threw it 42 times in a snowstorm. In a league with a lot of clubs doing that, you can rack up some sacks.

We are as tilted toward run as any team in NFL over the KS tenure. So if we run and use play action get the ball out quick, we can limit it.. I would say we did a good job vs DAL. As an example Purdy was sacked 2x and we had 0 turnovers on offense.

Yeah Mike yesterday was definitely a rag doll at times.

How did Hurts become a decent passer, he sucked at Alabama?
I don't think Philly is as great as everyone is making them out. This game is as even a match as we have, my only worry is how much we have left in the tank. Our opponents during the season went 0-15 the following week for a reason, that physical a game takes a toll. Physically and emotionally, we laid it all on the field last night, while Philly slapped around a cupcake. Give them the advantage there.
Just heard a solid take from Barrows on KNBR.

Paraphrasing; "The Cowboys did the Niners a favor because they do a lot of things defensively that the Eagles do. Dallas did far more to prep the 49ers to play against the Eagles than the Giants did to prepare the Eagles to play the Niners"

Still, the Niners are SO MUCH better off for this NFC Title game than they were last year as far as health and rest. Plenty of gas in the tank on regular rest.
this will be the real SB. Whoever wins this game, wins it all

When I watch his media and interviews, man is driven and authentic. Leader of men and he's clearly worked on his craft. Adding AJ Brown over the offseason helps as well and if you've watched postseason vs NYG, Goedert is a problem.

I remember having debates with folks on here telling me Minshew is better and he should start. That was during the past offseason. I don't hear that take anymore.

Am I reading that wrong? But I see the 49ers have the easiest SOS

On Eagles they have a leader and dual threat at QB, one of the best one two punches at WR in the league, one of the best run games in the league, one of the best d fronts in the league, and one of the best secondaries you will find with solid special teams. Apart from that we have nothing to worry about.

Hurts is banged up though, that changes their offense a lot. They have a few other key injuries too. They're a very good team but we can beat them. We are a very good team too

Tell it to NYG

I'm not sure the exact nature of the injury but he just put up an 84 QBR which is extremely high level performance, and he gets a week more to rest up. I'd say he's playing without limitation at least I'm not seeing any. Go to the first drive 40+ yds throw in the air plus he was running per usual. They may not be as cavalier with his sneaks that's about it.

Giants aren't that good. I was hoping they'd win but they just got our hopes up against a bad Vikings defense that has made every qb who has played them, look good.

NYG basically gave up going for that 4th and 8 play lol.
