On Eagles they have a leader and dual threat at QB, one of the best one two punches at WR in the league, one of the best run games in the league, one of the best d fronts in the league, and one of the best secondaries you will find with solid special teams. Apart from that we have nothing to worry about.

Hurts is banged up though, that changes their offense a lot. They have a few other key injuries too. They're a very good team but we can beat them. We are a very good team too

Tell it to NYG

I'm not sure the exact nature of the injury but he just put up an 84 QBR which is extremely high level performance, and he gets a week more to rest up. I'd say he's playing without limitation at least I'm not seeing any. Go to the first drive 40+ yds throw in the air plus he was running per usual. They may not be as cavalier with his sneaks that's about it.

Giants aren't that good. I was hoping they'd win but they just got our hopes up against a bad Vikings defense that has made every qb who has played them, look good.

I would say Giants D is good and that's what Hurts was up against, he's clearly healthy enough to ball out in playoffs he just did.

I think it's funny that people say we haven't beat anyone, when the only team with a worse SOS than us is the eagles. They are a very good team though. I think we will win, but it'll be tough and in a tough environment.
Where do you see that eagles has a weaker SOS?

http://powerrankingsguru.com/nfl/strength-of-schedule.php
Am I reading that wrong? But I see the 49ers have the easiest SOS

I've seen it alternate between us and them being 31 and 32. Idk which is correct but both there. Doesn't mean much cause they're a real good team. I just think it's funny that narrative has never been out there right them.

just people trying ti tear down our rookies success.

I know he's good but Jury is still out, in my mind, On how good he actually is. I've seen him blow it Everytime in his career, including college.

i want to see how he does against a defense of our caliber. It'll be a really tough game but I'm not "scared".

He's a problem but so is our D. All about limiting explosives and forcing field goals in my mind. D does tend to win out in postseason and ours is #1

70+ sacks from the d line is a scary stat. We will have to play another super clean game. O line needs to really step it up this week and get our run game going.

defense needs to contain the run and get pressure/hits on hurts. I don't want the guy hurt, but I want him hurting.

also, outside of the giants game - Hurts usually sucks in the big games, going back to even college.

Yeah that's the funny thing people don't get. They got 70 sacks. The 84 bears only got 72 which is the all time record.

We have a chance but it's only a chance. They are definitely the favorite to win this game.

It won't be surprising if we see mglinctchey get ragdolled again and banks gets destroyed.

Hopefully the line can pull it together. If they do Brock can at least put up points and give us a shot.

Yea the Niners and especially the offense need to change their mentality this week. Our fancy schmancy stuff probably won't work against them. We need to just lineup and play smash mouth football and win the battle of attrition.

Too many times against Dallas they sniffed out where Deebo and CMC were going and it felt like wasted opportunities when we could have just ran right at them to wear them out even more.

I'm having a hard time explaining this, but sometimes less is more. I'll leave it at that. Simplify the offense this week and get yards the good old fashioned way.

These 2 NFC teams can score points but both are absolute bulldozers. Cinn wouldn't know what hit them

What exactly are you basing that on?
Forecast is shaping up to look pretty good 6 days out, mostly cloudy low 50s. Of course weather changes pretty quick, especially back east so take it with a grain of salt.

To me, "good" means like in the 12-15 range. So like average time slightly above average. So nothing special but not bad either. Kind of the story if that entire team but the good coaching got them farther than the l talent level

Watching end of season football and Cousins being harassed all game. That was a PB QB and maybe best in NFL WR and they got overwhelmed by NYG.

Nah that game was yesterday my friend. I'm more confident in this game than I was yesterday. I think the Eagles are over confident cause they pushed around a weak ass Giants team.

Washington beat both Dallas and Philly, and SF beat Washington and Dallas. So one more to go.

Minnesota wasn't a good team. Cousins threw a 3 yard pass on 4th and 8. DVOA had NY rated 29th on defense.

I put a lot more stock in how particular teams are playing at this particular time of season. I don't care about stuff in September that may be tilting the DVOA scales.

this will be the real Super Bowl was the vibe when we won our 5th. AFC was weak and an after thought. You got two ELITE teams in AFC right now. So no this won't be the real Super Bowl far from it imo.

Hindsight is 20/20--- When it works, everyone's happy. When it doesn't work, people complain that it's "too cute." Ultimately, the misdirections, motions, window dressing are what defines our offense from the "good old fashioned way".

They had a number of inside gives in the first half that got snuffed out as easily as the creative plays that we drew up. The Cowboys came into the game, amped up. We weathered the storm, didn't make any major changes, simply executed better in the second half.... and grinded out their defense, and ultimately ran the ball up the gut on a CMC touchdown.
