Giants aren't that good, they got lucky to play the worst 13 win team of all time. Niners would've probably rolled them in similar fashion the Eagles did had they met

Yeah they are a pretender I would say

Cowboys were a contender

So are these last 4 teams all contenders.
Eagles defense #1 in passing, and rush is avg. They have the most sacks in the NFL: 70! This means the DLine is better than Dallas. Hurts is better than Prescott, doesn't throw INTs like him, Eagles have much better WRs than Dallas, game at home, easy win against Giants, well rested.
I'm sure there will be tons of analysis this week about each team's +/-, but as expected, the toughest game for the 49ers this season. I think ~40% chance of a 49ers win. Let's see.

I would say Giants D is good and that's what Hurts was up against, he's clearly healthy enough to ball out in playoffs he just did.

What exactly are you basing that on?

Watching end of season football and Cousins being harassed all game. That was a PB QB and maybe best in NFL WR and they got overwhelmed by NYG.

Minnesota wasn't a good team. DVOA had NY rated 29th on defense.

I put a lot more stock in how particular teams are playing at this particular time of season. I don't care about stuff in September that may be tilting the DVOA scales.

They finished the season 4-6-1 which included giving up 31 to the Lions, 28 to the Cowboys, 48 to Philly, 27 to Minnesota & 38 to Philly in the playoffs.

Let's not derail this into a NYG discussion.. someone said Hurts is banged up, I said he looked fine vs Giants.. we are facing Hurts and he's operating at 100% from my eye test of his recent game

Yeah I would say all 4 remaining teams are good enough to blow the other team out if they play their game and get the bounces.
Eagles front 7 have faced only 2 teams with a top 10 pass blocking O line this season and only 5 in the top half of the league. They have faced 7 teams ranked 22nd or lower this season.

I will post later today all of the pressure stats and where each team on their schedule ranked this season.

These are fairly accurate.

I would say the odds were reversed for the cowboy game probably 60% chance going in we would win that one once you factored in home field, maher being garbage, and the dak choke factor. They increased significantly once pollard went down.

We have a chance though.

I'm hoping even though the eagles are better at pressure maybe the size and speed is what was giving our offensive line so much trouble last game. I'm hoping that maybe the line will player better against the eagles because they match up better.

It may let us have more success short field outside on screens and runs because they can't close as fast as Dallas.
Gotta say I'm not a fan of Nick Siriani. Watching that guy do his cocky ass dance on the sidelines, behaving like a teenager who just beat his little brother in a game of Madden was embarrassing.

I'm more worried about the PHI offense vs the 49er defense than I am about the 49ers offense vs PHI defense. If PHI gets that run game going, it can lead to explosive downfield shots to their talented WRs.

I don't think it means that at all. How do they do against the run? That was where Dallas challenged us most last night. Someone else posted that despite their number of sacks, Dallas had a higher pressure rate. Agree Hurts is better than Dak and their WRs are better, but the biggest factor will be their home field advantage. But Green Bay was better than us last year and also had that home field, but Shanahan has proven his ability to win those games. This o e is a coin flip to me.
the Eagles have two things we are terrible against, big physical receiver and a mobile QB. this is what worries me the most.

I hope we see this and react the same way when Sean Mcvay did this to us early in a game.

I dont know much about him. I always thought he was low-key, mild-mannered. But I see now that he sort of a douche to everyone but his team and his players love him no doubt. That is all that matters.
