We don't have a Micah Parsons and it broke my heart that my favorite Penn State player in many years wound up with the Cowduds. What a waste! Beyond that, our defense is superior to Dallas in every way including linebacker, d backs and the deepest, most talented d line in the NFL, with all due respect to your great d line. Purdy has been a nice story but he hasn't faced what's coming on Sunday, in an atmosphere that is going to be on fire. Good luck with that and oh, throw in Hurts and the most dominant o line in the NFL! You guys face your toughest game of the season. We'll see what happens.

Most dominant pass rush in the league maybe not the most dominate dline. Dallas is better against the run as is Washington and the 49ers. You are leaky in the run game and it just so happens we have a run game wizard. Running the ball will neutralize your pass rush and wear them out in the second half just like what happened to Dallas. I do agree this will be a great test and game and I'll tip you a slight edge being at home. I won't buy this s**t being sold you guys are unbeatable tho.

I still don't get this DVOA and percentages stats. I'm just use to seeing so and so is ranked one in passing TD's or so and so is first in INT's. Simple s**t. lol

So I just recently starting looking into DVOA and I like it a lot. It takes a lot more things into consideration when evaluating how good a team really is.
DVOA stands for Defense-adjusted Value Over Average, although we use the same letters to refer to defensive rankings which are adjusted to take into account the quality of offensive opponents. When not adjusted for opponent, this stat is called VOA.
Eagles have 3 legit pass rushers
It appears that both 49ers RB's are dealing with injuries from the Dallas game. CMC is dealing with a calf injury, which he may have been suffering from before the game. Elijah Mitchell is now nursing a groin injury. Kyle Shanahan describes both injuries, and players, as "day to day."

I wonder if this means we might see Jordan Mason get a few touches? Against the Eagles? I understand he may not be as strong in some areas of the game. But man, that kid can bust a few tackles in tough, tough games. I must admit, I do love watching this young man run over a few linemen and linebackers before he busts out a stiff arm against some poor defensive back. It's good football!
Is there DVOA on Phillys LBs ?

It's a time of year where everyone is dealing with something right now
We are gonna run at PHI and play action and force them to play our game and see if our resolve is greater than theirs. We have a team that's battle tested and this ain't our first rodeo. We are itching to do battle this weekend as we've been here the last three outta four years

Still don't understand why Kyle doesn't give the younger guys more touches. Imo Mason would have been a good change of pace vs Dallas. Just like Danny Gray, why not let him run a few routes a game just to bring a new element for teams to have to figure out? Aiyuk & Gray on the field at the same time could create some confusion for defenses.

Hopefully CMC & Mitchell are fine by game time.

True. Plus, I agree with you 100-percent. There's just something about Jordan Mason that I like. He reminds me of a young Frank Gore to be honest. He looks like a young "Frank the Tank" when the Tank was running through people instead of around them.

Absolutely! Force them into a game they aren't used to playing on the big stage. Just like the DAL game.

Here, I'll rephrase and thanks for the comments. Our defensive line is the deepest I've seen in all my years as fan of the game. They can send out fresh bodies all day long. And yes, you will definitely need to establish a running game to have a chance to win because your QB is unlikely to have the kind of game that would be required to beat the Birds in Philly. McCaffrey certainly gives you a chance no doubt but we're back to playing at that level we were at earlier in the season before the injury bug hit us and so running on us isn't going to be easy imo. Im confident but I most definitely do not believe we are unbeatable. This final 4 is as balanced as I've seen in some time. Any team left can win it. No underdogs for sure.

I think it's more that we have our own Death Line-up of Deebo, Aiyuk, CMC, Kittle, and then Juice/Jennings. With those six guys, we can do anything and everything out of any formation. We can also audible into different plays based on what the defense shows us. We operate at 100% capacity when they're in the game.

Elijah Mitchell works to come in because he came into this season as our starter. We trust him as a receiver and in pass protection, and he knows the offense and should be able to run almost everything as well. You put in Jordan Mason, and there's a limited package of plays he can run... same deal with Danny Gray.

With that said though... Jordan Mason has just proven to be so productive, and we need all the runningbacks we can get. Danny Gray is just so fast and he can really threaten and take the top off a defense. We DO need to find ways to get them involved.

You guys think Sirianni is cocky? You obviously don't remember Buddy Ryan 🤣

I'll take Vander Esch and Anthony Barr over TJ Edwards and Kyzir White. I do think the Eagles are a great team and as a 49er homer I'm gonna hope that your team having the 2nd easiest schedule this year is why you've looked so dominant it's a coping mechanism and I'm sticking to it.

Whatever gets you through the night 😉
We really need to be ready for Hurts to run in this game. The league should know by now that our defense is below average when it comes to mobile QB's. Please win though!!! Lol
