You're going to be in for a rude awakening if you think all that

My daughter recently moved to Charlotte NC. She watched the game yesterday with some friends. They were mostly locals and they told her that Philly fans are the East Coast equivalent of Raider fans, obnoxious and loud.

Eagles top defensive players ranked by PFF.
7 of their top 10 defensive players rank 28th or lower in run defense.
The run offense that I think that is the closest to ours is DET with their OZ concepts. The eagles battled the Lions in a week 1 matchup. The Lions gained 181 yards on the ground at 6.5 yards per pop and 3 rushing TD's.
Week 12 against the packers, GB put up 33 points and averaged 5.0 YPC and a rushing TD.
Week 6, Ezekiel Elliot averaged 6.2 yards per carry rushing for 81 yards, long of 14 and 1 rushing TD.
In week 18 against the giants, Gary Brightwell 5.5 YPC, Davis Webb 6.8 YPC and Matt Breida 7.0 YPC. They totaled 21 carries for 129 yards with 1 rushing TD.
The commanders had success in week 10 with the IZ and trap game because their two interior defenders are not good at stopping the run and neither is their LB Kyzir White.
DET in week 1 they were gashing them by attacking their CB's on the outside in the run game.
PHI has been vulnerable to both IZ and OZ and Kyle has built this offense to be good at running both. If Kyle calls a good run game and gashes them early, the playaction and bootleg passes will leave holes in that secondary to take advantage of in the pass game.
great research and informative post!
Agree 💯% with both of you!
You need to reach out to Kyle and give him your insight. 😀 Sometimes I feel like us coach couches see the game better
I'm pretty sure they know. They have an analytics department that focuses on statistical research, which I'm sure is similar to DVOA's and Next Gen Stat stuff...
Hampton built the club's football R&D program, finding and developing new ways to gain advantages in both scouting decision making and game management strategy. Hampton also provides frequent analysis on special projects for the owner, head coach, general manager and president..

Philly has the #1 overall pass D DVOA, but the 21st ranked run D DVOA.
it's gotta be about running the ball and setting up the PA…Inside the numbers might be where you can get them in the passing game. White at LBer is meh in coverage and their safeties overall aren't amazing. Overall it's gonna be a hell of a game and start in the trenches. Their OL is probably the best in the league.
Expect Kyle to use motion to try and get mismatches. I think we can get them with short quick passes down the middle and then YAC which we excel at. If we can hit a few of those and then hit them with OZ runs to attack the corners.
As far as their best in the league OL, is it because hurtz hardly gets sacked because he is mobile? This might be like Wilson all over again. The secondary will need to hold their coverages longer. I also think someone will need to spy Hurtz.

I've seen so many teams come to the NFC or AFC Championship for the first time and lay an egg. Shanahan has all the experience and it will show.

Basically if your team is winning and you are with a group of say 5 people and yall stand up and cheer a touchdown and high five, you'll get beers thrown at you. that should be your expectation.

Hurts averaged 2.4 YPC with a rushing TD against TEN #1 ranked run defense this season. That is the only top 10 run defense he has faced all season. Last season Hurts had 10 carries for 82 yards and 1 TD against our 2021 7th ranked run defense. Our 2022 #2 ranked run degense did give up 8.3 YPC and a rushing TD to Marcus Marriotta. Jarrett Stidham averaged 4.9 YPC against us. Hurts is a level above those guys when it comes to running the ball and can certainly be trouble for our defense. I hope that Demeco will have a solid gameplan to slow Hurts down and try to force him to play more from the pocket.

run the ball is the game plan, run run run, mitchell and mccaffrey and mason, they are weak in the middle, their linebackers the weak spot

Road: Cowboys, Giants, Washington, Bears, Lions, Texans, Colts, Cardinals.
that schedule they had isn't exactly rough. And the Cowboy win early in the season was against Cooper Rush
Bumping this.
Didn't realize their schedule was insanely easy.
Feel a lot better now about our chances.

I'd like to request a 41 point first quarter, please, so I can sit back and enjoy a victory cigar during the rest of the game.
