We did struggle for a bit when we lost Jordon Davis and when the injuries starting mounting and prior to last week's divisional game; I wasn't sure how healthy we were or if that dominant defense from the earlier part of the season would return. A week ago, I said we would lose to the Niners if we met. And then we absolutely rolled the Giants and that dominant team, on both sides of the ball, was back and looked better than ever. I feel like the advantage is with us. We're healthy again, we're highly focused and unlike last week, your boys have the shorter week and the cross country travel to an environment that is going to be more hostile than anything they have experienced. Purdy has not faced this kind of environment and this level of pressure. Hurts on the other hand is unflappable and has a cool calm that just oozes confidence. I expect a close game and I won't be surprised with any result short of a blowout which is highly unlikely but I'm feeling far better than I did just a few days ago.

Didn't hurts get replaced by a freshman at halftime last time he faced this much pressure??
Wow, just google the worst NFL fans and most say the eagles lol

We've been in three of the last four NFCCG. This is old hat to us and we've won more road playoff games than anyone in the NFC during that timespan. We are a five time champ so we are a different animal and it's gonna be a fight this Sunday afternoon

The sooner you realize this the less the shock will be once the war breaks out in six days

Didn't realize their schedule was insanely easy.

Feel a lot better now about our chances.

Yeah, we played mostly college and high school teams 🤣. It's funny, some of you guys trying to convince yourselves you're going to win. You might but you might not.

Seattle may be the loudest which has much to do with the design of the stadium but Philly fans are louder imo. I'd be surprised if there was a 50-1 ratio of fans, yet alone a 5-1 ratio. You'll be surrounded by green. Hope you have a great time but not so great that your celebrating a Niners win. If you have the time, hit Tony Luke's or Joe's steaks for a cheesesteak.

Haha fair enough. I grew up 2 hours out of Philly and failed out of Drexel haha.

I'm just saying it's not a place other teams get nervous about playing. It's whatever. Like Levi's.. it's not like teams are scared to come there. If you heard, we were loud as hell last night, but it wasn't nothing.

Check out ticket sales data. You're gonna see red. Niners fans travel probably the best right now, at least as good as anyone else. I don't think there was a road game where red wasn't prominent throughout the stadium.
You don't come in here telling a team that's been in three of the last four NFCCG about being unflappable when we have a rookie that's started his career in the manner he has and is already 2-0 in the playoffs and has more playoff wins than Hurts does already!

Chile please! It's gonna be a dog fight Sunday and this is our third in the last four years so we ain't amateurs to this!

My daughter recently moved to Charlotte NC. She watched the game yesterday with some friends. They were mostly locals and they told her that Philly fans are the East Coast equivalent of Raider fans, obnoxious and loud.

Basically if your team is winning and you are with a group of say 5 people and yall stand up and cheer a touchdown and high five, you'll get beers thrown at you. that should be your expectation.

That's a bunch of b******t.

I've been to a Niners-eagles game on a Monday Night at the old vet years ago. Guy next to me had a gold Niners jacket on, and he was pelted with ketchup and food all game. Fireworks were being lit in the stands. That was the game Philly decided to put a holding cell in the stadium for rowdy fans until the police arrived. I knew a Packet fan that went to a game, and someone just dumped an entire tray of food on him. I've been to Niners-Giants game in 49er attire, no issues, and just laughed with the giants fans .Same at a Niner-jets game.

Yeah, there's always a few drunken a holes who have to ruin it for everyone else and it happens in every stadium. The Linc is a far better environment than the vet which had to be the worst stadium in the history of American sports.

Yeah he's just hyped up. Philly is a great team and definitely no surprise if they win. But he doesn't realize they aren't a special nfc champ team. They are just another one, like us. We are two great teams, eagles may be greater but they aren't special or anything. We been there done that. We may win , we may lose but we play this champ game a lot against great teams.

You're here and we're not over there. What peaks your curiosity? Is it the five rings? Is it the allure and the majesty of the red and gold? What is it? You tell me what's brought you here to tell us we're trying to convince ourselves our guys can win? What makes this all so funny us rooting for our guys?

I mean it's whatever.. it's definitely a culture thing. Not a song drunk people thing. It's like the mob mentality thing, they all just jump in and it's tolerated by security and the nfl.

I mean who cares, its cool to have fans who don't put up with s**t but philly takes out little too far haha.

One thing I haven't seen brought up too much is the advantage the Niners have in playoff experience. Many veterans have played in championship games before. A decent chunk of the roster are playing in their third nfc championship and have played in a superbowl. Especially on the defense.

I could see the Niners come out more relaxed and poised than a younger less experienced Eagles team.

Purdy or Hurts could implode in their first championship game appearance but I would argue Brock now has more experience than Hurts has had in tight playoff games. Plus he has more veterans around him with big game experience.

Can Hurts come up big when the pressure is on? I like our Rooks chances over Hurts.

How many of your players have won a Super Bowl with your team?? I'll take my chances with a top 3 MVP candidate over the last player selected in the draft.

Yes.

If I were a betting man I would lean PHI but even then I'd know SF is the ONLY team in the NFC that can go into PHI this time of year and win this game

Thats raw honesty. I am expecting a war and a chess match and a battle of attrition and I am not a bettor and even if I was I would abstain because I believe because it is SF going into PHI the outcome cannot be reasonably predictable

He's not a bad dude but he has that condescending Philly attitude. Don't hold it against him. He don't realize and he a good dude.

You can have the regular season MVP. We want a Super Bowl MVP
