Per Baldy - eagles are the only team who play a five man defensive front.

so that means a lot of 1-1 matchups and if we can get past the d line on run play - that leaves a lot of room to run.
i think our offense has a great chance to score and sustain drives on them. I'm excited!

That can't be right. There are many teams that use a five man front. ARI, SEA, LAR all use a five man front and that's just naming the NFC west teams.

I think he was saying they're the only team that always uses a 5 man front. Idk how accurate that is but that's what he said

Kinlaw needs to have a big gameb

He's going to be critical, especially if Omenihu doesn't play.

If he's going to be critical then we are screwed.

I expect Omenihu to play. He hasn't been proven guilty of anything at this point. Kinlaw is not an impact player. I sadly think we'd be better off not even playing Kinlaw at all this game against Kelce. He does nothing from what I can tell and I certainly don't want to see him trying to chase Hurts around lol.

I was just telling a coworker that our game against the Eagles in the Linc early on in the season in 2021 looked a lot like what people are expecting this weekend - a very physical game in the trenches. They were kicking our ass the first 2 or 3 drives until we settled in.

Any chance that game has relevance to this one for tendencies/personnel?

We won that game IMO mostly because we survived the onslaught and that Hurts was not really a good QB. I believe Warner had a very good interception on Hurts that exposed his inexperience, and then at the end he couldn't get it done.

Going forward the expectation is he and their offense is improved, and defense as well. So we'll need to be better on both sides, and I feel we are.

I gotta give the Eagles the upper hand here. Unless we play lights out and miraculously find a way to stop RPO which Hurts executes to perfection, we're gonna get trounced. Dak found some running lanes last week he just didn't take advantage. Hurts in the opposite and will run all over this D. Me thinks this could be a massacre in the making…

You have said this before. At this point, its more Chicken Little talk than astute analysis. I think the Eagles are a better team, but a massacre? Okay. . .

Sometimes I wonder how he got his medical license..

The collection of DL that PHI has put together is damn impressive.

It really is. They have 4 guys that can win their 1-on-1s in Sweat, Reddick, Cox and Hargraves, and that's not even counting Brandon Garaham. I think the biggest difference between them and the Niners is that they can stay big up the middle and get after the QB whereas the Niners have to go small next to AA to generate a pass rush from inside. This allows them to defend the run better while still being able to get after the QB.

Kyle will have a plan to attack them. Keep them to 3 sacks or less and we should be in good shape. I felt like Kyle went away from the run too soon in the 1st half against Dallas. Gotta stick with it vs Philly, they have shown cracks in run defense. Also, they are kinda like the 2019 Niners as far as the secondary. Yes, their secondary is good but just about any secondary looks good when you get 70 sacks from your front 7. Get Deebo in space against Bradberry or Slay and he will make a few big plays. We just need an air tight plan to run the ball with shots here and there. Can't make this a drop back and pass game for Brock. Run THE BALL. 30-40 attempts would be amazing.
When you have the 2nd easiest schedule in the league your numbers will be overblown as is the case with Eagles. They are good but not at good as the numbers say. 9ers on to the bowl in a close one and the only reason I believe it's close is due to Hurts running ability but I do think the pass rush will force an int or two.

Yea if Jed were smart he'd not shell out for the tix for this one. Just forfeit and move on with life since it's all a foregone conclusion

Some of this babble sounds just like Dallas fans. It's like they never stopped to consider that the game can actually be won or lost.

Eagles guy said the Giants were a dominant team. I just can't.....😂

Yeah, wait …what?! Gotta be kidding me!

I laughed at the same thing.

Typical. I grew up in Chester just outside off Philly. One of the angriest fanbases i have ever dealt with. I have also lived in Baltimore, DC, Tampa and now Jacksonville. I have never dealt with a fan base that of the likes of Philly. I have not been to Raiders so no comparison there.

Oh cool. I was born in Chester and lived off of Highland Avenue in the projects until I was 10 years old. Rough ass neighborhood.

I never said the Giants were dominant anything. Read the post and engage your comprehension skills. Chester is nasty!!!

I never said anything about the giants. I understood your comment and knew you were referring to the eagles getting back to their dominant form.

Chester is nasty. It wasn't when my mom was a kid. We moved to Ridley Park when I was 10.

Chester has been nasty as far back as I remember. I grew up in NE Philly but have been in NC for 20 years. Also been to SF about 12 years ago for my best friends wedding. Fun city!

Philly is pretty disgusting too though. Especially Kingston Avenue.
If you meant Kensington Ave, you are right. It's a shthole and one of the reasons we live in the Carolina's.

Jersey rocks! I miss the beaches and the food but the beaches in the Carolina's are beautiful also.
Great. I have a funeral to go to. I get to miss the first half of the game.
