My point is the whole who beat who and by how much is dumb…the two top NFC teams are playing each other this week. Should be a good game.

Not sure what you Eagle fans were expecting coming into a 49er fan forum though lol? I'd like to think we're a pretty knowledgeable fan base in here. Of course we're confident. We got a damn good team too. Also objectively there isn't a fan in here that wouldn't rather play any other NFC team in the championship. I would assume you feel the same.

Absolutely and I'm digging the forum. Good group of guys. Only question; where are the Niner ladies?

They don't exist

Really? That's sad. Philly chicks make up a nice sized portion of Birds fans.

Not sure there's many in here…s**t ton on Twitter that know their s**t though

Swingin dicks only in here, sorry. 😭😭 it's the best-man woman haters club! Haha

Tbh, this is the true superbowl. These teams are built so complete that whoever gets out of this wins the superbowl imo

Bengals and chiefs of course have insane QBs but both have flaws that both Philly and us match up well against, plus Mahomes is a little banged up.

If defense is locked in and allow under 20 points, we win this. Eagles have a good defense for sure, but not as good as Dallas, and Purdy handled that solid all things considered.

Niners had no shot that game. Weapons everywhere. Mobile QB. Hostile environment. Etc etc

That's not the last time they faced Philly in Philly. 9ers beat them last year 17-11.

No matter how you dice this, look for positives (there are a few), still, the Eagles are an overall better team. This is true both sides of the ball, OLine, DLine, CBs, etc, etc. and their QB is not Prescot. Not only was he a MVP candidate, and mobile, he has not one, but two 1000yd receivers.
Assuming offense and defense of both teams match up, let's say Hurts is still a better QB than Purdy at this stage. Maybe that makes a diff in the end, maybe not, no one knows. Purdy is already playing way beyond his experience, and he has to notch it up even further.
Vegas has Eagles -2.5, which is generous. Away game, & this is important in the playoffs, that's not in 49ers favor either.
Someone or some players have to rise up and play "extra"-ordinary on the 49ers to win this game. I give a 40% chance of a win for the 49ers.
Anything can happen on Sunday, let's see.

They almost lost to the Cardinals and got blown out by the Commanders. They also tapered off at the end of the season. Any "advantage" they have is insignificant other than Hurts' ability and willingness to run.

They're far from world beaters.

Make Hurts a traditional QB and advantage goes to us. His legs are what makes him a dual threat. It's what keeps the defense honest. Chop off his legs and see how he cares as a pocket QB. I think you'll see he's not much better than Dak…
Go 49ers!

Honestly they're just another football team in the way. No biggie.
Remember how "nobody wants to face these Detroit Lions!"
Then "nobody wants to face these Packers!"…..?
They're just another headline.
Just a bunch of dudes.
Play on.

It's a what have you done lately for me league. It's why the media was all over the Cowboys nuts after the TB game even though they looked horrible coming into the playoffs. And Philly after they beat up an avg NYG team (who would probably struggle vs the TB Buccaneers ironically) now look like the new dynasty in the making….even though they're far from it.

I don't think it is this year. All of those years the NFC dominated the league you could say that, and especially when we played the Cowboys. But this is one of the first years that every team is a legitimate contender. Even if we make the Super Bowl it will be a huge challenge against either AFC team, unlike the 94 Chargers.
Stop the run on D
Run the ball on O
Don't give up explosives on D
Make the eagles earn every yard, it's ok to bend. Just don't break, we win

Jauan Jennings is quickly becoming one of my favorite players. He makes a couple of big catches every game. His run blocking is so vicious that he gets us a penalty almost every game. His blocking pisses people off and they loose their cool yet he stays composed because he knows it is coming.
