I just love to talk football. I know this game can go either way. We been to 5 nfc championship games with Mcnabb to only go to 1 SB. Nothing to be nervous about. 2 great teams going at it.

I will be the most surprised if it is a blowout for either team. Feels like this one will go the distance and be an epic game.

My brother is a die hard eagles fan. He is a little nervous. I am a little nervous. Its okay to be nervous. There is a lot on the line. It should be a game for the ages. These two teams are the best in the league imo. Whoever comes out on top, I believe, will be hoisting the Lombardi in 18 days.

If we can't run the ball then there is a possibility that we could get blown out IMO. Especially if they decide to pick on Lenoir all game.

Teams have been trying to pick on him and he's been better than Mooney
Sirianni comes off super douchey . Noticed it earlier this year, but he seems to have really ramped it up

They are more tough
They have the best DL
The best Secondary
The best OL
MVP QB
better WRs
Better RBs
the best TE

should we even show up ..we have no chance

I remember that. Walsh just kind of talking to himself in the locker room. I miss him. He changed the game.

according to ESPN they should win 38-13 😂

lol we know that's not going to happen. Some of those smart people picked the Giants to beat us lol

All I'm hearing all week on the "hot take" shows is how the eagles should win blah blah blah. Like SF shouldn't even get on the plane. I understand you think it's gonna be a good game (and you think Philly wins) but let's not get it twisted. Sports media is absolutely s**tting on SF this week

Weekly Media Themes:
Round 1: Pete Carroll s/b COTY. 1on1 sit downs with Geno Smith. Silence.
Round 2: How the Cowboys will win. 1on1 sit down with Dak Prescott. How the Cowboys lost.
Round 3: How the Eagles will win. (Expected) 1on1 sit down with Jalen Hurts. (50/50 Expected) How the Eagles lost.
Superbowl: How the Bengals will win. (Expected) 1on1 sit down with Joe Burrow. (50/50 Expected) How the Bengals lost.

Amirite? LOL

I'm not interested in homer-ism (it's a word now), and like to hear and engage with "the other side." I do it all the time. Not nervous, just interested in the details of the game and hearing what you guys think. Varied perspectives and all that.

I'm not nervous, as I expect a good game no matter who wins. I haven't met an Eagles fan yet, personally, who thinks the Eagles are winning for sure. Some talking heads might be setting up an Eagles victory, but your average fan recognizes the talent of the 49ers. I think what alot of people are having a hard time getting past is Purdy. Can a rookie really do what no rookie has ever done before? So I think that's probably what's putting alot of people into the Eagles' camp. However, I have been rooting for Purdy all year. Seems like a genuinely good guy.

The ultimate psychologist. He did this to prove that once you've done all the work early, you can relax before the big test.

I actually applied this concept to my studies. It works. I get it. He was right.

I would say if we can't run it's always a possibility. That was our flaw in last years NFCCG although we didn't get blown out it was close.

We have a historically good run game with one of the great dual threat RBs of all time.

For a comp they rank 16th in run D. We rank 2nd. They should be a lot more worried about run game getting shut down, however Hurts off schedule presents problems if he's doing his thing.

Hurts playing at an MVP level is like an addition to us. Besides him, we added AJ Brown, Haasan Reddick, James Bradberry, and Jordan Davis, CJ Gardner-Johnson, among other contributors. In the middle of the season we added Suh and Joseph both to the interior of the Dline. The fact that the Eagles have such a deep Dline allows a huge rotation and keeps all of the linemen fresh. For example, Brandon Graham is 34 years old but has 11 sacks this year while only playing (last I saw) about 40% of the defensive snaps. So there have been a number of key additions that have added alot to an already good roster. We'll just have to see if this younger coaching staff can adjust (especially on the defensive side) mid-game. In my mind that is where some struggles (and some stubornness) have cost the Eagles in the past. Like continuing to play soft coverage against Dallas in their last matchup. We didn't have Hurts that game, but the soft coverage against Lamb killed us. And they never adjusted and even after the game stuck by their decision.

Well CGJ was out that game and we had a rookie Josiah Scott at slot corner and he was getting roasted by Ceedee Lamb. They kept motioning him to the Slot and lining up against the mismatch when Maddox went out.

You guys should check out Jonnydel's Dallas-SF breakdown. He is a longtime member here and creates one after every game and often a preview of the upcoming, and makes a thread here for each week and adds them to his YouTube channel. Great stuff and not too long.

He shows a bit of how Parsons' athleticism allowed him to make plays that aren't often made by even very good players. I am curious if you think you have a guy who can do the same. Fast, quick first step to get to a position before very agile blockers, ability to disengage, etc… and also a guy who can track with CMC or Deebo a bit.

Quinn called a truly excellent game and Dallas' D stayed very disciplined and largely mistake-free with a distinct lack of freelancing. They did just about everything right and it still wasn't enough. Can you guys match that?

Absolutely. The key is not to get down early and find production on first downs. And if we can, stick to the run game and wear them down by the 4Q. Play efficient and turnover free and don't shoot yourself in the foot.
What are your thoughts on Lenoir….. He's gone up against some great WR's this year, will do again on Sunday.

It appears he is growing in confidence and growing into the role now.

Do you think Philly will attack him primarily?

I expect our D to take away their run game and make Hurts beat us through the air this game.

Fair enough but our safeties play a role. If anyone is left on an island it will be C Ward.

He's extremely competitive and, as an Eagles fan, I have to say I have loved alot of what he's done and the passion he has, but last week he hammed it up in front of the camera at half time. I don't like that. Celebrate afterwards in the locker room with the team. Talk up your team in interviews. But don't act sophomoric while the game is going on. It was also a bit odd because he's never done anything quite like that. He'll chirp at fans, which I think is fine as long as it's above the belt, but again, didn't love what he did in front of the camera last week.
