So... WHY the disrespect?

Watching all the postgame analisys today, the overriding tone from virtually ALL the national media is how the Cowboys LOST this game.. not that the Niners BEAT them. Now personally, I am kinda glad the national media gives this team no chance.. this team with the number one defense, a top five offense and weapons up and down the roster and coaching staff. Very little talk about the Niners ABSOLUTELY DOMINANT defense and no talk about what a masterfully coached team this is... I mean hell, 7 games ago most people thought "season over" when we were down to Brock. I'd argue that Brock Purdy had by all accounts a good game (19-29, 214 yds and most importantly ZERO turnovers).

All I see is how bad the Cowboys played (I'd disagree... their defense showed up) and how awful Dak was/is. Now I will say that I think 32 NFL teams (including us) whiffed on this kid and thankfully he was there at the end of the 7th... but I go back to my original question...

WHY the disrespect from the national media?

And it's not like this is a new phenomenon... this has been happening for years. What say you all?
who listens to the national media anymore

Honestly, who cares? Much of the media is East Coast oriented, that's not going to change so why worry about it?
I think a majority of msm, even the NFL wanted Philly vs Dallas.

It's not about being right, it's about what interests the audience. Talking about DAL failing is more fun to listen to for the neutral football fan than the 49ers being good. Give it a day and DAL will be an afterthought, until March rolls around.
FWIW every team thinks this.
At this moment in time I think Dem Boys losing is a more interesting and entertaining narrative than the 49ers winning. You can only spend so much time talking about a hard fought battle in a low scoring game.

It's fake news to get fake stirs, everything Skip, Shannon and Smith do is contrived they discuss before the camera roles how outraged to act during the next segment, it's all fake.
It's the Cowboys, there's a huge nation wide media hard on for them because of certain individuals. So when they lose in the playoffs once again when these people loudly proclaim their destiny as super bowl winners the question is "Why? Why did the Cowboys ignore the guiding hand of GOD to return this team of destiny to its rightful place in history??" It's hilarious.

This. It's about entertainment.
I PURPOSELY signed on this morning to see Stephen A Smith gloating to Michael Irvin, and watching Skip Bayless cry and whine that his team lost.
Cause ratings. People love to hate the cowboys so people will tune in if they get a chance to hear Dallas get lambasted on live TV.

Honestly it's why I don't watch national media anymore. But small Podcaster and youtuber provide well thought out analysis and discussions a lot better than the Skips of the world.
how many times do we have to repeat that the story will always be about the cowboys after they win or lose. Let's be grown ups and stop whining about this same s**t every year. I'm hype they won and on to philly

It's actually a great thing to be disrespected by the national media.

If they say the 49ers are going to get their ass kicked it just makes it a little sweeter when it turns out the 49ers were the team doing the ass-kicking.

Actors playing out roles he cries on the camera then it's all smiles. Another day at the office.
The national media is all on Dak Prescott and the Cowboys. They think they are Super Bowl contenders every year. Especially Skip Bayless who used to cove them I believe and was from that Dallas area. He's a huge Cowboys fan.
