Purdy's attitude on the sideline? His elblow got crushed and he couldn't throw the ball more than 5 yards

Lance likely won't get us a Lombardi next season.
Jimmy G has maturity on his side and could get the team there.
Purdy is probably done based on what we saw with his attitude on the sideline after the injury
Brady is a geniune option but would possibly limit getting the OL, DL and CB positions filled.
Draft diamond in the rough with few picks. Do we really want to roll that dice again? Probably have to get another cheap backup anyway.

LOL.
Fair response. (Is that really you?)
Whether the lost puppy look on the sideline was because of what the medical team told him or that he was lost in his own world due to not being able to contribute I don't know. It was a bad look for a leader, albeit a rookie who was not supposed to be this good.
You must admit that injury such as this, his weaker than average arm, other limitations and the crazy 49ers QB room will make it very very difficult to be a part of the SB window for this regime.
Long Bow?

He is a grown man in a leadership position on the cusp of a SuperBowl. He dressed up for it. Harsh? Hell yeah. He is part of a team got darn it.

He looked like a dude who was disappointed he couldn't be out there leading his team to the Super Bowl. WTF are you even talking about?

It's not harsh, it's just a bad take based on your opinion of what leadership looks like. You saw a couple camera cuts from a TV broadcast lol. It's a gigantic stretch at best.
Don't know how anyone could say Purdy is gone after today. That's comical.

I mean he looked like a lost puppy. When Mahomies when down he was pumping his team up on the sideline. I know he has done enormously well but he has plenty of room to grow as a leader.

Thats more like it. I can imagine that.

Hey that's fair. You could be right. You think if he was anything other than a deer in the headlights they would have shown it? Even when back on the field he was a shadow of what his leadership was prior.

It's a bad take if you did not see his entry from the locker room after half time and thought it was ok to act contrite in the face of adversity. This is where the rubber meets the road in all leadership positions.

He is very young and seems like he can go on to greater things. I really hope and pray he does. I like him and what he has achieved. Who doesn't.

My true take is that he did the best he could in the circumstances he was placed in. He aint that pest Mahomes. But he retreated from who he was after the injury.

This man! What Purdy accomplished cant be understated enough, today was demoralising but it showed how special Purdy is, Johnson flat out proved that and it was hard to watch, someone who knew they scheme but couldn't play the offense in the most basic of calls, we have a true NFL QB on our roster. Its not his fault he got injured on a missed assignment. I just wish he came back in sooner, hard game to watch!

Exactly. He is part of a team that he leads and he is only focussed on his own feelings.......if what i saw was all that he did. Did you see something else?

I feel bad continuing to humor this, but what is it that you expected to see? Describe it.

What you said might be the real reason for him to look so deflated. Coming so far only to have it ripped off you. Easy to forget everthing else for any mortal.

I believe he will be more brutal on himself than any keyboard flop like me could ever be.

Don't feel bad. I bet he feels worse than any of us dumba$$ fans could.

There was a lot of game left to play. Where was the encouragement of his team? Where was the enthusiasm for those around him? The Mahomes like enthusiasm was what I would have liked to see. It may be unfair to criticize him for anything after what he achieved but youu can't rest on that.

I'd respond with a couple points:

1. There's more than one type of leadership style besides rah rah encouragement.

2. You only saw Brock when Fox showed him to you, and are drawing conclusions based on those limited views.

Additionally, having seen Mahomes when he was hurt, I recall him cheering positive plays by the team. We had very few.

This is really... really... silly.

If only he'd grabbed some pom-poms we'd be going to the Super Bowl.

(Like most sober-minded people, he knew the game was over when he couldn't return.)
