1. There's more than one type of leadership style besides rah rah encouragement.

2. You only saw Brock when Fox showed him to you, and are drawing conclusions based on those limited views.

Additionally, having seen Mahomes when he was hurt, I recall him cheering positive plays by the team. We had very few.

This is really... really... silly.

1. Attitude is everthing.
2. I saw enough at the time it was probably important.
We had enough plays to see his reactions but the networks may not have chosen to show it.
It is not silly to speak of one's character. A learning lesson for him is all I hope and wish for.
Thank you for the banter.
Hope next year is THE one to get the team back in the trophy cabinet at the museum in Santa Clara.

There are sober fans after this game?
Roster outlook?

I saw Jalen Hurts made to look good by a great offensive line. He is overrated. Defensive line couldn't sack him. Yes, Bosa was playing hurt, but I don't think it impacted the game.

49ers had six years to build a good pass protecting online and failed.

I saw the run defense exposed. Need to address that.

I saw McCafferey as the only rb out there today. Elijah Mitchell is a liability because of constant injuries. Where was Jordan Mason? Is Davis Price a bust? Need reliable depth behind McCaffrey.

I think the main thing is pass protection - glaring weaknesses. Maybe we need a new offensive line coach as well or assistant online coaches.

We got beaten on both offensive and defensive lines. This is why Philly is in the Super Bowl. Games are won at the line of scrimmage.

Qbs…Garoppolo is gone. Who will be the qb next season? Brock? Trey? Brady? Rodgers? Who knows.

On the plus side, Philly receivers were neutralized.

if the 49ers want to win the Super Bowl, they will mainly need to address the oline and protect the qbs.

Shanahan will have a long offseason. Let's hope the injured players get well quick.

Post that interview if you have it.

I thought he was cool. I don't think we can pay him so it doesn't matter.

That's the interview people are upset about? People are so soft
What holes do you think we need to fill this offseason?

We need another DT. But hopefully Kalia Davis can fill that spot because Kinlaw is not it. I would still sign another DT either way. Payne would be nice but might be too expensive. I am ok at DE because I think Drake Jackson will be that guy opposite Bosa, Now that he has a year under his belt. Re-sign Eman as he will now be cheap. Let Jimmie Ward go. He will be too expensive. Draft a safety or two as this is a deep safety class. Re-sign Gipson. He won't be expensive. Spend on the Oline, Especially the right side.

I'll throw out a slot receiver that can sit and find holes. Our Edelman, Cole Beasley, type receiver would eat up teams in our offense. We have been trying with Quinton Patton, Trent Taylor etc... None have panned out

A true high point good route running tall outside receiver would help as well. Somebody who can win routes with footwork alone and high point the ball without needing to be schemed open. A jump ball guy.

Need more defensive lineman as you stated. We let them walk every year so we need good bodies that can get 5+ sacks a year playing limited snaps.

Maybe a better punter? I'm not sure on this one but it felt to me this year like wishnowsky kicked quite a few I to the endzone that a better punter could pin instead. Not sure of the stats on this one but that's how it felt watching often.

It's about time we make investment in our OL.

RT is average at best and need major upgrades. Center position needs improvement as well. Don't have a lot of trust in backups either.

Do feel we need an upgrade next to Arik.
Need couple of upgrades in secondary.
Need a real backup TE
Need a RB that can spell CMC a good amount - really prefer CMC to get more snaps as a receiver.

Purdy is amazing - and played out of his mind over the last few weeks of the season. But imo the best thing for the team will be to let Purdy and Lance battle it out in the summer. Seeing what Hurts has done this season gives me all the hope for Lance and still feel his ceiling is so higher - and just needs to play. Either way - we should have 2 really good young QBs in our system for 2023 and 2024.

Hard to take this post seriously. Rubbing some salt in the wound?

Lance is trash 🗑. He can't even hold Purdy's jock strap. Now if Kyle could scheme offensive line protection we would get somewhere.

I think we're planning on a couple players stepping up and filling gaps next season the way Huf and Banks did this season.

Womack - Ward
Jackson - Omen or Ebukam, whichever we can't re-sign.

The big ??? Is the right side of the OL and possibly center as I'm not sold on Brendel.

I think Glinchey will get a good offer elsewhere and if we can't afford to match him I doubt we're willing to spend the $$$ to upgrade him in FA.

For that reason I think we re-sign Brunskill, let Glinch walk and draft yet again hoping 1-2 players make a jump.

We tend to make one splash move per off season. Maybe CMC counts as it this time, but maybe C or RT is an option if we look to upgrade.

Secondary I'm not as concerned as others, but I hope we keep drafting there anyway.

Re-sign Gipson and E-Man, draft a young safety and CB to learn.

Outside OL that side of the ball looks good. Don't want to see a RB before the 7th, but a slot reciever or another TE wouldn't be a bad thing.

DL could do with some love. Going to need to replenish our DL in the draft and a couple of bargain buys.

LB could do with another draft pick to develop, a lot will depend on if we lose Al-Shaair. I'd like to keep him if he doesn't cost too much.

Have a feeling Gould will go.

CMC will be restructured and extended, Bosa will be re-signed with a lower year 1 cap number so we'll free up a fair bit of money.

Re-sign: Brunskill, Omen/Ebukam (only one of), Gipson, E-Man, Al-Shaair (depending on $$$) + a couple of depth guys.

Lose: Jimmy, Glinch, Gould, Omen/Ebukam (one of), Ward, + a couple of depth guys.

On the fence: Brendel (or maybe that's just me)

Assuming we have 11 draft picks as predicted (I think we'll make trades but won't worry about that) in no particular order...

OL x 2
DL x 2
Safety
CB
LB
TE
Slot WR
K
RB - it's going to happen, we know it.

TLDR: I'll probably be 90% wrong so you're not really missing out on much.
Is Gould the only guy that one could see possibly retiring? I get that he's a free agent, but I can see him hanging them up instead of signing elsewhere.
i hope we draft the next ed reed/earl thomas in this draft.

We need to oline (right side) and dline. Anything else we can improve is just gravy. Now just wait on the Purdy MRI. If it requires surgery bring in Brady, if not Purdy is QB1.
