Prepare to be disappointed. We're not getting Rodgers, we can't afford him whether it's draft capital or salary cap.

And that's a good thing, he's not the player he once was.

Green Bay isn't trading Rodgers within the NFC.

They are especially not trading him to SF when Kyle merely asking if such a scenario was possible last offseason pissed off Lafleur so much.

Besides… how would an old QB help the deficiency in qb protection?

My take:

Jimmie Ward - yes, bring him back
Jimmy G - NO
Samson Ebukam - no
Moseley - no ( will cost too much)
McGlinchey - only for vet minimum, otherwise NO
Azeez - no (will costs too much)
Robbie Gould - yes (unless he retires)
Brunskill - yes
Hassan Ridgeway - no
Kerry Hyder - no
Tyler Kroft - no
Maurice Hurst - no
Tashon Gipson - no (solid starter, might demand more money)
Dontae Johnson - no
Akeem Spence - no
Jordan Willis - yes
Taybor Pepper - yes
Dwelley - no
Jake Brendel - yes
Verrett - no
Flannigan Fowles- no
Kevin Givens - no
Colton McKivitiz - yes
Jaylon Moore - yes
Charles Omenihu - yes

2024:
Nicholas Bosa: yes obviously
Kinlaw: oh f**k NO
Burks: no
Ray Ray McCloud: no
Charlie Woerner: no

Ridgeway may come very inexpensive, and he had a good season and for his price would provide a good run stuffing rotational player. Mosely injury may make him much more affordable. Brunskill as long as it is for a backup OL spot and not a starter or rotational Oline man. Gibson if the price is right.

Woof.
Jimmie Ward is gone. You can tell by his presser after yesterdays game. Talking about how he had a good game and saying that the Niners will be good next year. Likely would have said WE will be good next year if he was intent on sticking around. I think Maiocco or one of the other beat writers alluded to Ward hinting at leaving after the 2022 season during the middle of the year anyways.
Loaded up roster, question is the QB. For a while JG was locked in here. Now we have no clue who our starter is and how good that guy is.

I'd like to see Aaron Rodgers under center next year, he looks ready for a fresh challenge. Give Green Bay one of our 3rd rounders.

😂

Brian Gutekunst would be ran out of Wisconsin to Minnesota if he traded Rodgers to us for a 3rd.

They're going to want at least a first in this year's draft for him.

lol gonna say that's the dodger/laker fan in him.. he's used to superstar players falling into his lap

Roster looks great. Defense looks great. Let's sign Tom Brady and win a fricking chip or two in epic fashion. 15-2 with Brady next year and Brock as our #2.

This team can't take a step backwards and hope Trey becomes something. Too many veterans getting long in the tooth for anymore "What if" seasons.

Make the commitment to Tom. Let's get this ring so we can remember what it feels like for our team to be Champions again. It's been a long time.

A friend of mine was talking smack, I was talkimg smack back and I said when was the time your team won a chip? It was 1992, 2 years before ours hahahaha.

Let's do this!

I'm down. If TB is washed, fine, bench him we got options like BP or TL. If TB is TB.. watch the eff out.

The problem isnt the talent, it's the injuries. The 49ers have arguably have the best roster for the last 3-4 years.
7 D linemen are FA.
Honestly any reasonable viewpoint of this playoff set, pass rushers are the premium position group outside QB.
We've got Bosa and Armstead, then nothing else.

The problem for years has been the level of play at QB, and consistency. Tom brings both. Hell, he almost threw for 4700 yards last year. Who was the last Niner to do that?

C'mon Tom, you didn't dump your family to go out like a sap in Tampa Bay. Come home, finally and let's get this done. Brock gets to learn from the goat and is better for it when it's his chance. Win/Win

I would hate to be a GM or whoever is in charge of making decisions on who to keep and who to cut. So often they need to make decisions based on salary cap and not performance. These guys often know the players well and it's more than just a business decision. On top of that, their jobs are often on the line as well so if they make the wrong decisions too often they're gone too.
