No adjustment could really be made to fix it. Warner, Purdy, Bosa hurt. Johnson was looking shook out there. And why wouldn't he be I guess. Then I heard Purdy lost feeling in his hand. I couldn't watch anymore. Everything was crumbling. I guess it got even worse after the half. Not sure who they would have put back in instead of Purdy..wildcat which means, Idk..who would be next in line after Purdy? I could not have dreamed of a worse loss. Just total bum deal.

Pretty much the same for me, but I still watched knowing we had no chance. What I'm still wondering is why have Josh Johnson as a backup if u don't trust him to throw the ball? Seems unconventional. We may have had a better chance with Sudfeld.

Eagle fans are acting like they destroyed our defense.

sigh.

they were fortunate because that catch that shouldn't have ever happened 7pts

they got more first downs off penalties in the first halfthan they earned. (Nothing to see here apparently) extending that one drive 7 more pts

Josh Johnson acted like he didn't want to be their fumble short field. 7 more points

Running into the kicker was bull crap. Another 7 points.

thats 28 points they were kinda gifted.

eagle fans are also saying how their defense dominated us.

Again. Not hard to do when we can't throw a forward pass for 3-4 of the game. Josh Johnson included too

Im sorry Eagles. I'm not really impressed with your team.

You should act like you were fortunate to win because you were
in other words
you were kinda gifted this win.

There's a reason Eagles are 7-0 when Hissey refs their games

now I just need to see who Goodell wants to win the Super Bowl so I can make a bet on it

Philly and the 9ers were indisputably the two most physical teams in the NFL. The problem was Philly is just WAY MORE physical than we were. It was suspicious when the NYG had lost to them last week, and the game was over by the first qtr. Eagles are just a massively more physical team….even than us. Mailton …a massive tank. Riddick…his forearms and upper arms are bigger than my thighs. There was just no stopping that dude.

Which brings up a question. If we are going to draft a FR QB, why not get a FRanchise OL to protect him. We all thot that the R side of our line was adequate, esp amongst weaker teams…and the nfl was really weak this yr. But if you are getting a great QB, why not insure his health with a great OL? Philly showed us why. Nobody even got near putting a hit on Hurts except on one scramble for 15 yds. Beside that, he basically was untouched.

Bottom line…we may have been physical, but Philly gave PHYSICAL a new meaning. L side of our OL is excellent , anchored by big Trent. But L side from C to RT…we have to do better…way better. Philly just proved that…if we want to get to and win the SB.

JL and Kyle have done a great job in building this team. We've got talent everywhere, OL, good hands guys, DL, LB, and DBs. But we still aren't good enough and KS/JLs idea of building a great DL has paid off. But we also need equally great OL…and there we are only half way home

Yeah they really didn't do anything impressive at all. I think the defense just got deflated after a while and stopped caring.

They could definitely upgrade the O line but so could nearly every team in the league. Many are way worse than the Niners and they will draft higher so the chances of getting a great lineman is slim. There just aren't a lot of great O linemen coming out of college because they all run option offenses that don't require them to hold blocks for along tome. Many of them are clueless about how to protect the QB. No wonder when so many college teams have QBs running for more yards than RBs.
I wish there was a do-over button

Completely agree, was not impressed at all. All week kept hearing how good, dominant they were. That was not the case, in fact the Cowboys were better. They lucked into having to play the Giants, Cowboys would have beaten them. Then they lucked into Purdy getting hurt very early. They only earned 3 of those 31 points. Mr "Michael Jordan" was 15/25 for 121 yds, 0 Td's and ran 11 for 39 yds. Not Jordan numbers. Again, not impressed!

This. Take me back to that fateful play and run it up the middle with CMC instead.

I didn't quit watching until the 4th quarter after t became obvious that Brock couldn't throw at all. I had my gold satin 1981 jacket sitting on the chair next to me but I put it away in the 3rd quarter. It had a very pissed off look on it's face.

We got to live with this one to live to fight another day.
9ers averaged 3.6 yards per play without a QB and the "dominant" Eagles averaged 3.8 per play with a QB "Jordan". 3.8 total per play while healthy, playing a defense that was on the field for 2/3 of the game because they did not have a QB. Can't wait to hear their excuses after losing to Mahomes.

Nonsense, freak injuries all year long. It's one thing to be physical, another to lose 4 QBs in one season. Especially when the Eagles has next to zero injuries all year long. Yet, the niners missed homefield by 1 game.

Pretty much all of this.

Niners defense played very well, other than the sloppy penalties. The flags were legit, and came at the worst possible times, always giving the ball back to the eagles. Running into the kicker, facemask, hitting out of bounds, holding. etc.
When you have ZERO threat of a pass (josh johnson), opponents just stack the line. Doesn't take a genius DC to figure that out. When you are down to the #4 QB that really shouldn't even be in the league, what else do you expect.
josh johnson pulled a cam newton and watched the fumbled ball go by right after a punt return with good field position. Rather than get 7 points, they GIVE 7.
Niners defense had to be gassed, they were on the field way too long.
Everything went the way of the eagles, from the initial incomplete pass, to having to play without a QB.
The Cinderella season went south immediately.

As bad as everyone here feels, I am sure Brock feels worse. He probably feels he let the team down, which is in no way his doing. If it weren't for Brock, the season would have been over a long time ago.

Hurts was injured and missed a couple of games. His shoulder injury still isn't healed completely. He c an't throw the deep ball as well as he was earlier in the year.
