Something that worries me is that the past 2 coordinators that we had were younger and enthusiastic coordinators and our defense fed on that. Do you guys think a older more relax coach like fangio would take away from that?? Or am I overthinking it

Yes that does concern me as well. The fed off Saleh and Ryan's energy. Heck I did. I trust Kyle to find the right guy.

Fangio has plenty of senior energy.

Doesn't Fangio sit in the booth? That would definitely be a change. I'm in on whoever they choose. Kyle has shown the ability to find good D coordinators
Hopefully Gus Bradley

Hopefully not. Bradley is still running that same tired Seattle defense that the league has long figured out.

I agree creativity is needed on defense as much as offense. . A lot of guys have a rigid scheme. Good coaches look at the talent they have then make a defense around that.

The offense never had more energy than the Jimmy Raye days. I've never seen a more enthusiastic coordinator
As a side note, I don't get why coordinators leave after a couple seasons of success. Ryans must see what Salah is going through. He must see what McDaniels is going through. I'd want to stay until the nucleus of the team is at least gone. Why leave a SB contending team to coach the Texans. I'm sure there will be more opportunities next year. Why not try and finish what you started until it looks like your current team is heading towards a rebuild? Guys like Dick LeBeau stick around forever because they enjoy it. I want the next D coordinator to stick around no matter how many offers they have. There's no loyalty anymore. I'll end this rant saying that I like Ryans a lot. Sucks to see him go. I wish he would just stay until guys like Warner, Armstead, Bosa, Greenlaw, etc are on the way out.

Because Kellen Moore.

Last year homeboy was top of the coaching lists, this year he's fired.
