They said we wouldn't make it when we had all these QB injuries either but we got all the way to the final four with a third string rookie and we got beat by a team that actually did the work to build around a cheap QB with some of the tools Trey has and now they have a monster roster with a young cheap MVP

We need to stick to Kyles plan and trust our coach

Look at Brady. He more than played well enough for Tampa this year despite a s**tty run game, poor pass blocking and an offensive scheme from 1991. I think Lance has a lot of talent but the last time he played anything more than a trivial amount of snaps was 2019. I don't want the whole season resting on a guy who mostly hasn't played for years and would still have a considerable number of growing pains to go through while this roster is loaded with talent.

I don't think Brady wants to go out on a sour note and it seems like Gronkowski is raring to go again. Let Marathe work out the financials and load up everything, go all in for next season.

Not just Brady, but Tom AND the GRONK! Way to go PHX…always thinking one step ahead of everyone else.

People do realize that if Brady signs here, so will several quality vets chasing a ring. Will take some magic from Marathe but I have faith he can make it work. I'm tired of falling short year after year. I'm all in on Brady. Plus it can only help Trey and Brock to sit behind the GOAT for a year and learn.

He will definitely bring a FA factor that we need, and people will also want to stay to be a part of it as well.

Aside from that they have guys to pay and don't have the cash for Brady even if he takes a discount.

The only option is to draft a QB and develop him.

Brock or Trey may have trade market sometime in the near future.

Repeat the process in the following draft.

You don't need prime Brady to win with this roster, just a guy that can make the reads, get the ball out quick, be decisive and not shrink under the bright lights. Brady has been there, done that a hundred times over. The 49ers don't need elite top of his career Brady, just a high end game managing Brady that can successfully utilize the many weapons on this roster.

?? You do know demanding my way Brady do you not? b***hing at the WRs and team for any mistake. And that he is a statue and can't move around in the pocket. And do know he drops like a meteor falling from the sky when danger near. This is not a Kyle type QB. He is not. His history is not 9ers. I prefer he or AR not here. We HAVE to GROW these rookies no matter if it takes a year. We can't continue down this rotation path.

I'm content Trey and Brock and a lesser vet if need be with the Vet in backup role. Trey or and Brock is the future. We need to get thru this next stretch of rehab and Trey will be ready.

Brady would drop into a well oiled machine where the skill players are always going to be where they are supposed to be.

We didn't have a brutal schedule like we do next year

When was he playing defense? That's impressive.

I watched the game and when I saw Brady could make nothing happen at all and could get no explosives I knew the game had passed him by. Meanwhile Dak was looking as if he was driving a doggone Ferrari. Brady was atrocious that game and he was at home and the same age as me

Exactly, he also gets to get far away from his ex for a bit

Trey Lance.

And if Lance flops, then what? Imagine wasting possibly the final year with a completely loaded offense on a project QB from the FCS that hasn't played more than three or four games total in four years.

The stakes are high, whether people want to accept that or not. Next year is not a rebuilding year. I doubt that guys like Trent Williams, McCaffrey, Kittle, Warner, Deebo or Mooney Ward would be cool with a season of putting the training wheels on for an inexperienced passer.

There's no guarantee that they get a veteran passer like Brady, but they should make every attempt to do so.

I never liked that narrative. We are not the Texans. All picks back full steam next year. We need a franchise QB for long haul. Not a retread and rental.

They said we'd have a brutal schedule this year. Well it didn't work out like that now did it? They ended up telling us we've beaten no one until Dallas. PHI whooped us because they developed their guy but yet we want to tell Kyle not to develop his while building around him while he's cheap and we have a Bosa and a CMC to pay?
Whatever we do, i hope that R side of our OL is improved to the point where we can truly protect our qB.

If you don't develop Trey as PHI did Hurts and unsure yourself with Brock and another QB you gonna sacrifice Super Bowl years both now and in the future. We have players right now need extending and FAs needing to be acquired. We ain't paying an expensive veteran and not develop our own young guys while adding talent. We just got beaten by a team that is building the right way

49ers have built the right way already, and it hasn't worked because the QB position has been a rotation due to injuries

Time to postpone that build for one year.

Yup. We need to play Trey this year and see what we've got. We get our picks back in 2024 and can go from there. Guys shut their mouths this year and played for three different QBs because they trust coach as should we
