When was he playing defense? That's impressive.

I watched the game and when I saw Brady could make nothing happen at all and could get no explosives I knew the game had passed him by. Meanwhile Dak was looking as if he was driving a doggone Ferrari. Brady was atrocious that game and he was at home and the same age as me

And that's one of the reasons Leftwich got canned right after or is Brady the OC now as well?
Lance will probably get the starting reps in the early parts of training camp

And if Lance flops, then what? Imagine wasting possibly the final year with a completely loaded offense on a project QB from the FCS that hasn't played more than three or four games total in four years.

The stakes are high, whether people want to accept that or not. Next year is not a rebuilding year. I doubt that guys like Trent Williams, McCaffrey, Kittle, Warner, Deebo or Mooney Ward would be cool with a season of putting the training wheels on for an inexperienced passer.

There's no guarantee that they get a veteran passer like Brady, but they should make every attempt to do so.

IMO this year they were OK with the training wheels because they knew next year could be legendary.
Now people want Trey over Brady? That is insanity lol

Brady looked like a 46 yr old QB this yr.

And those guys can't get upset if we do get him and still fall short, at least they'll know the team tried everything

49ers have built the right way already, and it hasn't worked because the QB position has been a rotation due to injuries

Time to postpone that build for one year.

Nope. PHI just beat us and put all other arguments to rest because they did the work and developed their guy. I have said it all along that if Hurts beat us we need to develop Trey and Brock just as they did. Plus we need to draft a guy and use the money to try and catch up roster wise with PHI and SEA is gonna be coming too with their draft haul. No to Brady and other vets that are as old as me with grey whiskers on their chins. Let them coach it something. Hell those guys are older than Demeco and Brady can be Kyles big brother! Dang!

What makes you think he would do well in our system? He's a 50 year old statue at this point.
Kyle will get Brady killed.

He was always a statue. He isn't 50 so that is an immature point. He is better than anyone else the Niners have at Quarterback.

4,700 yards passing behind a crap OL, no run game and still managed to stay healthy. He doesn't need to be prime Brady to win on this roster, he just needs to take advantage of all the weapons that are already here. Just be a high end game manager.

And imagine if Lance doesn't flop? Imagine if Brady looks like he did this yr, just another yr older? This OL isn't gonna allow him to just chill back in the pocket. He's not gonna play for free either.

Let the kid play.

They'll be upset that they're losing guys and they're awaiting extensions because we wanted a grandpa

Whose mind was all over the place as he was going through a nasty divorce and on a crappy team. He now has all that past him and he'll come here and show players how you need to work to get your ultimate goal, including Trey and Brock.

I don't think a 50 year old QB is the answer?

How about we get some guys in here that can protect the QB, change our system to something that doesn't get QB's killed, or find coaches that can develop a QB?

If that fails, find a guy that can actually evaluate rookie or free agent Quarterbacks?
The best thing QB can do to avoid injury is to process fast and get the ball out quickly. It's the ultimate way to neutralize a pass rush and limit hits on your QB. So, yeah, actually, a 50-year-old Brady makes a lot of sense, because he does that as well as anyone.

We should just bring back Montana then, he's only 66.

Highly doubt that, especially after what they saw happen yesterday

Brady couldn't get explosives 🧨 this year if he was at a combat zone in the Donbas region of Ukraine

We just saw the team we have to beat and Brady ain't it no more
