I'll again defer to our coach when it comes to either signing Brady or Rodgers on a rental deal. I think he knows what he has in Trey, or what Trey can shortly become, and everything hinges on that. Brock likely won't be ready by TC, so if Kyle had confidence in Trey, so do I. If he wants to sign a mercenary for a year or 2, cool with that. The rest of the team is solid, so anyway we go, I expect to be in the Suoer Bowl next year and on the winning side.

Zero chance they get Rodgers. He's not being cut and they aren't dealing him to the 9ers.

Then do we think in todays game Tom is gonna beat PHI and Mahomes? After we can't put guys and extend guys I'd think not and then after falling short we're left to pick up the pieces like so many other broken and busted teams littering the league. We just need to do the hard work PHI did.

Of course he can beat them. He beat the living dog sh out of Mahomes before in the SB. You can think Brady fell off but the reality is Tampa lost a lot of talent. They lost Gronk, Antonio Brown. Their line wasn't as good.

But I do agree with you about building around Lance like the Eagles did.

Yes.

Ok well good luck with that because we need to pay him whatever that entails them hole we can hang onto guys we need to extend and pay

Them there is the matter of providing Brady with the perfect OL and then dealing with the fact he's older than Kyle Shanahan so I'm interested as to how that's gonna work out

If we go that route Brady better be able to help us finagle the financials

Dude is 46 not 26 or even 36 but I'm asking him to beat all this young talent with a potentially weaker roster

SMH

Hurts just embarrassed presided over an embarrassing loss this past week as he and his team gloated in our faces

Enough

Time for us to put in this work!

How nuts do you have to be to attribute yesterday's loss to being beaten by a superstar QB?

We lost our QB to an all time great pass rush on the first drive of the game.

Beyond this absurdity, Trey Lance isn't going to be a superstar QB anytime soon if ever* It is a ridiculous expectation.

That ship sailed when Lance broke his ankle. Gotta win now with this roster. Philly had the luxury of taking a mulligan on the 2021 season. That was our choice for 2022. Lance getting injured ruined that. Can't just repeat that in 2023.

Worth the risk, IMO. Sometimes you need to push all in. 2023 with Brady is that time. If Purdy was assured to be back in may I'd feel differently, but he's unlikely to be available at full strength until 2024. I like Lance, but he's not worth the risk. Doing the same thing that failed in 2022 again in 2023 is not good enough.

No way in hell GB trades Rodgers to the 49ers.

Tell that to Kyle. Tell him he's nuts because I know what Hurts was his first couple years. I know he's in the Super Bowl now. I think Trey can be as least as good and then we still have Purdy. Draft another young guy and do the work PHI did

You keep saying that like its supposed to mean something. Brady was 43 when he and the Bucs kicked the crap out of the Chiefs in the SB. Normal age-based rules just don't apply to Brady.

We got farther in 2022 than Brady did and we've been in three of the last four NFCCG so I would not call what we did a failure. We need to stay the course and break through just as PHI did

So, sacrifice 2023. Got it.

I was willing to do that in 2022. Now with McCaffrey and Williams a year older, and Bosa getting a huge contract I am against that. I'd rather kick the Lance/Purdy can down the road an extra year. They'll both still be under 25 in 2024.

If it means 10 years of top notch play afterwards absolutely sacrifice it. I want what these other teams have, a guy to build around. Haven't seen enough of Brock to say he'll be that guy in 24 just let him sit and watch.

Numbers matter.

Brady had 6 rings. That matters

Brady had 8 wins in 17 games this year at my age of 46. That matters

Bosa needs a $100M for extension. That matters

We have a big cap hit coming for CMC. That matters

Father Time tells me with my receding hairline and gray whiskers numbers matter

31-14. Numbers matter

It's now or never next year for sure and Kyle is going into it with a qb circus again. Healthy CMC's and Deebo's don't happen every day. 🙄🙄🙄😬😬😬
