I don't think a 50 year old QB is the answer?

How about we get some guys in here that can protect the QB, change our system to something that doesn't get QB's killed, or find coaches that can develop a QB?

If that fails, find a guy that can actually evaluate rookie or free agent Quarterbacks?
The best thing QB can do to avoid injury is to process fast and get the ball out quickly. It's the ultimate way to neutralize a pass rush and limit hits on your QB. So, yeah, actually, a 50-year-old Brady makes a lot of sense, because he does that as well as anyone.

We should just bring back Montana then, he's only 66.

Montana would also be a little cheaper than Brady since he's 66.

Wait Steve Young is only 61!

We have a lot to think about this off season.

Hey now, I'm 49 turning 50 soon. Alright nevermind. 😆I was very athletic when I was young but you take a NFL hit past 45 and you're feeling it for a week at least. The right tackle has to be better for Brady.

The core of this team has a window of 5 years easy. Really only will have to replace Trent.

if we are doing everything we can to go get ring 6 then go get Lamar Jackson.

Like I've said before in this thread, you can bet on the QB who has played four games in four years and at no point was what you might consider a particularly fluid or impressive passer, I'll bet on Brady being able to fight off old age for at least one more season, especially with all the people talking about how he's done, finished and what not.

I think he wants to finish his career out on a high note and that there will be mutual interest between him and the 49ers. Enough to get a deal done? Remains to be seen.

This is a loaded offense. Brady has a quick arm. Kyle's not going to ask him to do much except find one of his all star players. Plus add in a top tier running game and this may look like one of the best teams of all time, especially if EMan comes back cheap and we have a decent secondary.

it's a no brainer unless Kyle botches it again…

If it means 10 years of top notch play afterwards absolutely sacrifice it. I want what these other teams have, a guy to build around. Haven't seen enough of Brock to say he'll be that guy in 24 just let him sit and watch.

Or he just turns out to be a subpar NFL QB and the team wasted a wide open window for no reason. Trent Williams is going to be 35 next season, guys are getting older, there's going to be a point where they won't be able to bring back everyone, next year is probably as good as the roster will get for a few years. Play with the training wheels after you do everything possible to go finally win a 6th SB.

49ers have to make a decision on a potential QB alternative before they know anything really about either Trey or Purdy's ability to be the guy. Both are complete mysteries right now for different reasons and will remain so for many months. Purdy's injury totally changed the calculus.

Who is this awful QB that you're talking about? The guy with 7 rings. Lol. Please.

Watch the game from Monday a few weeks ago. That guy.

You mean that guy whose team forced him to throw 60 times in a game ? That's as ludicrous as us running it every play in the second half yesterday…

I don't think we need that running threat. This offense is so dialed in and precise, Brady would thrive, just sitting back picking teams apart with guys running open. Grab TB, find a way to solidify the OL and let's rock 😁

That's just Rapaport repeating the same thing as Schefter. They won't know how long Purdy will actually be out until they go to do the surgery. It might be as little as 6 months, its possible that it could seven, eight months or even a full year.

The hope is that he only misses six months, and yesterday they were hoping that he had only suffered a mild sprain.

Hurts just embarrassed presided over an embarrassing loss this past week as he and his team gloated in our faces

Enough

Time for us to put in this work!

How nuts do you have to be to attribute yesterday's loss to being beaten by a superstar QB?

We lost our QB to an all time great pass rush on the first drive of the game.

Beyond this absurdity, Trey Lance isn't going to be a superstar QB anytime soon if ever* It is a ridiculous expectation.

Expectations were low this year with Trey Lance for a reason. We only traded for CMC once the team took off with Jimmy. No way he becomes a star next year. I personally don't see the "it" factor in him. Purdy showed a lot more.

Have to sign the GOAT. Let Brock learn behind him for a year. Win a ring then let Brock carry this team for the next 15 years. It's set up perfectly for us !

Kyle will run Brady on a sneak up the middle on the third play. Brady pulls both hamstrings and a groin and is out for the season. (s**t doesn't heal at his age)
I went to high school with Tom Brady. Back when we still had rotary dial tellys and cassette tapes

Brady is the GOAT at QB sneaks. Has done it literally hundreds of times. If he gets injured doing a QB sneak, one if the most successful plays he's run consistently for 20 years, Shanahan would hardly be the one to blame. That would just be the ultimate in s**t luck.

They'll have to keep the volume down on the boombox or Brady won't be able to hear anything in the helmet during the game

I'm pretty sure Kyle wants to run more than he throws and he would most certainly want the best rushing offense in the NFL he would most surely have with a young guy like Trey under center or at least the mobility Brock will
provide once healthy
