These are all their upcoming free agents:

Exactly! They patiently built to where they are today but Hurts ain't gonna be worth what they're paying him unless they keep that OL intact so he can continue to impose himself in the running game because I'm not too impressed with him as a passer not to the tune of a $250M contract as his MJ referencing coach and organization is gonna have to pay him

They have some really bad contracts. A whole bunch of those "fake years" which add to dead cap. They are in trouble if they dont win it this year.

They're in trouble regardless. Winning doesn't change their cap sitch

1) Pray that Trey Lance is good
2) Pray that Brock Purdy comes back as good as he was before he got hurt.

Only 21 pages in, but we finally got a correct answer.

Bring back CJ Beathard. That dude is made of clay and cannot be broken. He's the only Kyle QB that could take multiple beatings at the hands of crappy O line play and return for the next play. Jimmys bones are made of glass, but CJs would plump back up with a splash of water. This is how Kyle only needs 3qbs in 2023/24.

I don't think a 50 year old QB is the answer?

How about we get some guys in here that can protect the QB, change our system to something that doesn't get QB's killed, or find coaches that can develop a QB?

If that fails, find a guy that can actually evaluate rookie or free agent Quarterbacks?
The best thing QB can do to avoid injury is to process fast and get the ball out quickly. It's the ultimate way to neutralize a pass rush and limit hits on your QB. So, yeah, actually, a 50-year-old Brady makes a lot of sense, because he does that as well as anyone.

We should just bring back Montana then, he's only 66.

Montana would also be a little cheaper than Brady since he's 66.

Wait Steve Young is only 61.

Jeff Garcia is 52.

We have a lot to think about this off season.

Maybe even Aikman?

Dude will probably get a concussion by patting his head.

Bingo! Bank it

No they're not. The play calling for Trey vs play calling for Brock were vastly different. With Trey it was conservative run up the gut, whereas with Brock…Kyle opened up the pass pretty quick and with confidence.

I don't get where some of you get the Kyle loves Trey feels. Didn't he tell Trey to fix his throwing mechanics in the offseason last year ?

Yep he showed way more confidence in MR Irrelevant than he did the 3rd overall pick.

Doesn't matter what the feeling about Trey is among the coaching staff. The fact is he's going to be doing all the offseason program stuff and probably be the starter to start the season, depending if Brock can come back and be ready to start '23.

I would go with this one

Could be the move up in draft. The two ones. The ensuring he gets all the training he needs in the offseason. They have barely got a 7th round pick of usage out of him. Long way to go until we get. those ones money worth.

Trey is your QB1 2023. Embrace it all the way to preseason.

And so many here laughed at the Rams for falling off a cliff because of how they managed the cap.

Risky business.

But the Rams were throwing away draft picks AND creating a cap nightmare both, at the same time.

And they got a ring to show for it. That'll satisfy their fan base for twenty years.
I think the team is still high on Trey, and this does give him a chance to get back into that starting role. I also seriously question if Brock will be available next season. the report I saw said he was going to get a second opinion to see if he could just have it repaired - which makes me think the first doctor actually suggested the reconstruction. If that's the case, I don't feel good about the idea of going into next season with Lance and a street FA back up. But I also don't think Brady would come cheap. Childhood team or not, Brady has never done the cheap contract.

However, I WOULD very much prefer Gronk over Kroft....

3 first round picks says they are very high on Trey
