If Purdy goes through TJ surgery, draft Haener, sign Pornstache.

Okay another lesson for the fans. We DON'T have money to sign these guys! AR will never be traded here. Never. With what money and picks? We have what is most likely the highest paid defensive player in history about to happen. Brandon needs attention.
I would imagine some lower cost VET in a backup role for one year while Trey plays a year. Brock, love him, but it really does sound he's not a 2023 option.
I can't wait to see Trey go thru a year of growth. Long over due.

And if he flops Zack Wilson hard, then what?

The point is we honestly and fairly don't know right? Isn't that fair? We need to find out before we can talk about that.

How quickly things changed for this team. Saturday we were anticipating a trip to the SB. Now we have a QB that may need TJ surgery, a left tackle that might retire and a right tackle that's a free agent. On top of that we lost our DC and probably some other coaches.

Our bed is made. We're going to roll with Trey and give him a chance until Brock can get back and challenge him. We don't know what Lance can do with more reps and experience, and we're going to find out. There will only be a rookie or low price vet behind them. We must use the additional cap money to secure the future by signing Bosa et al.
Lance gets an opportunity, we keep our team strong, and we hope Brock will be back soon.

Okay but answer the question. He plays a whole year and at the end still looks mostly remedial as a passer. The offense falls off as a result.
Are you then looking forward to a second year of him starting in hopes that he figures it out or looking elsewhere?
I'm just trying to figure out how many years people are willing to dedicate to a project while the team has a stacked roster.

We have so many weapons in their
prime…we can't wait too long. I say 2-3 years

It only takes one. If there is not significant improvement after that, let's not Kaepernick it.

I'm on board with this.

There's no reason that the Niners can't draft a QB in one of the rounds next year. They have 11 picks and could package a couple to move up to the 2nd round if they wanted to or just use one of their 3rd rounders on a QB.

2-3 years? The team window probably shuts after next year, if it's not already closed. There is zero way Trey is going to be given that amount of time by the fanbase, Kyle, John, or Jed when the expectation is a SB win.
