Yeah if I were JummyG I would be looking for something new.
Jimmy G will want a long term contract. He won't sign him short term knowing its Lance/Purdy show moving forward. He has a market out there.

Grappy's done here.. he'll be an idiot to comeback and deal w/Shanny's non-sense... Grappy can sign w/the Colts and be that starter and tutor the QB they are planning to draft.

If he can't get a seat at the QB carousel he may come back like last season.. some teams would rather 'see what they have with' with Zach Wilson types, rather than win games, get to postseason.

I like this. How much will the "Stache" command these days?

I have no idea honestly but I don't think any team will be looking at him as a starter, just a solid backup which is what the 49ers would need him for. Plus you know, the porn stache.

1. Lance
2. Pornstache
3. Haener?

And then have Purdy back in the mix in 2024.

In 2-3 years you're unlikely to have any of the current weapons left in their prime. Kitten will be 30 next season, Deebo 27, McCaffrey 27, Trent Williams is already talking about retirement.

IMO, you give Lance one season where he needs to show significant improvement and a strong indication that he can be the guy for this team and if by the end of the season, he doesn't seen to have improved much, if at all, you cut your losses and move on.

I am surprised to see this take from you. Why are you a hard pass on Lance? I sense you'd rather him not play?

He needs experience. It's the only way they'll know. I mean the same fans who would STILL bring mediocre jimmy G back don't even want to give Lance a season or two...

I understand fans saying this roster is built to win now, but that's also shallow imo. By that logic then no team should build its roster if and until they find a real fqb which is a complete crapshoot and not realistic. You have to be pragmatic about it which they are imo.

Also many guys best statistical seasons are at 32-33 years old. There is a big drop off after that. Kittle looked fantastic this year and stayed healthy.

We will show up at Trent's house and convince him to keep playing. Another reason we need to keep plugging away at o line.
Trey and Prudy will battle it out in my opinion
How do you turn a 4 year HC job into 8? Just get your QB injured annually.

Doubt it. He was still hurt during the trading frenzy last year along with the draft pick or picks to acquire him. There are a few needy teams that needs a decent starting QB like Jets, Colts, Bucs maybe or a team that he can be a placeholder that is grooming a rookie QB.

Grappy's agent need to slap him around and tell him that he'll always be Shanny's scapegoat as long as he can get the team close enough to WIN but does not.. that's really the ONLY reason why Shanny likes having him around.. he knows that his Shananigans will continue to point at Grappy each time our HC raises his 2nd Place Trophy year in and year out.
Haven't posted in almost a decade. Oof. What are everyone's thoughts on Nate Sudfeld coming back? He signed a one year deal with Detroit (I believe). Wouldn't be a bad option as our back-up. Roll with Trey until Brock is ready or stick with Trey (for 2023) if he has made the appropriate improvements.
If it ain't Purdy or trey lance, this season coming up is toast. And no more jimmy please.
Hope and pray.

I like Suds and keeping him around in some capacity may have helped last season. Not sure how we would have swung 4 QBs but in any event. Realistic move I could see us making. He has starter potential.
another reason I think Lunch Trey gets traded is the fact that he can't run Shanny's preferred offense
I don't think Shanny wants to rep 2 different offenses during OTA and training camp, TL is just not a good fit to lead our team
