He did. He got hurt. I mean that has been the narrative this season.

Ya so a health Lance starts in 2023 unless Purdy miraculously is ready for training camp.

You have to remember that Shany"s plan at QB was Trey QB1 and Purdy....a 7th rd rookie. I dont think Shany had a crystal ball when ot came to how good Purdy would be but he clearly had confidence in Trey.

Joe Burrow will be requesting a trade to the 49ers.

Speaking of Joe Cool he ain't that.. it ain't Burrowhead either. Those guys are clowns with their nicknames.
Chill and let the front office do their jobs. They've been great thus far.
kick the tires on Carr?

Rams also needed luck, every team needs luck. Brady doesn't guarantee anything. It's a one shot deal and if you miss you're facing a lot of headaches.

It's not about "saving capspace" it's about keeping the team as a whole stronger for longer.

I'd rather have multiple chances with Brock and/or Trey than one shot in the dark with Brady.

Get him for 10 or so mil, sure.....but I don't believe we're getting him for as big a discount as some are hoping.

Its about giving yourself as many options as possible. With the talent on this roster, if you were to make a one year run to try and win a SB, are you more confident with Brady or Lance? Or Brady and Lance in case another QB injury hits.

If Purdy has to undergo a complete reconstruction, he's out of the picture for next season pretty much so yeah, I'm far more confident bringing in Brady, loading up at OL and DL in the draft over rolling it all on Lance and whatever mediocre veteran QB the teams brought in to save capspace.

The cap stuff, let Marathe and Co figure all that out.

Except with Trey and Purdy it isn't just a one and done shot so not really worried about that comparison.

You can keep saying "saving capspace" all you want, but for me it's not about that, it's about allocating it across the team. Multiple investments rather than one boom or bust attempt.

Brady won't take a 10-15mil one year no strings attached contract. If he does and I'm wrong I'll put my hand up, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Brady could barely play this year. What would happen if we put him behind this pass protection scheme?

Trading Lance makes zero sense. His trade value isn't high right now, he's more valuable to the 49ers than to any other team, even if they bought Brady in.

Preach!

A one-year deal for Brady with a backloaded contract for Bosa. We get a Lombardi, Brady gets a ring, Bosa gets his money, and our QB situation is well-settled with Lance as the for-sure backup until Purdy is fully healthy.

The one thing we can't do is sit around waiting for Lance to develop and/or Purdy to get healthy and hope for the best. No way anyone is going to be satisfied with Lance as the starter and a still-healing Purdy as the only other option. The comparison to Jalen Hurts is not valid because Philly was willing to sacrifice a year for him to develop. Trent Williams isn't going to sit still for that approach here.

not sure what you mean by barely play.. he actually set the NFL record for pass attempts.. which is a lot of playing and throwing.. if you mean barely play well that's another topic.

He had no other choice. JG wasn't healthy and he wasn't yet sure what he had in Purdy. KS did what he had to do.
