Totally intentional. He is still bitter lol
Lets see: Kyle Yesterday-
No Jimmy, No big free agent QB signing.
Trey and Brock yes. So that leaves a no name or washed up scrub to play third string or draft pick. Why would any QB, even if just number 2 back-up of value want to take a third string job? Third string is for career over hasbeens and some rookies.

And in other news Brady retires and AR says no to SF.

It's not even AR saying no, it's the packers…there was a report that they wouldn't trade him to the NFC let alone SF.

only way he's coming to SF is if he retired and became a FA somehow.

It don't work that way.. like Sean P.. he unretired yet Saints still had first dibs, owned his rights.

Lafleur has a bad taste in his mouth from Kyle trying to trade for Rodgers. No way he give him to us not even for 3 first round picks. He's a bitter little brat…

It's being reported by Maiocco that this is Purdy's team in the locker room, period. It jives with what we saw with O lineman running off the field not helping Trey up at times. Next year won't go well if Purdy is out

Maiocco is legit IMO, he is a homer but he has to be so that the players will talk to him Lol

What he says reflects what I have perceived is that Bick Cock Brock is a natural leader and the team rallies behind him... Lance seems aloof, not much of a leader far as I can see, I don't see guys respond to him like they do to Brock

Purdy was the "perfect storm" in a good way.

The season started with Lance and high hopes. Then Lance is hurt. Hopes drop but Jimmy comes through and hopes are high again. Then Jimmy is hurt and hopes are dashed at a higher level. No QB. No Super Bowl. Then Purdy…. I remember Warner saying as if in great relief, "We have a QB."

The fact Purdy did what he did in such a humble way, was just what the team needed at that time. He was a savior. That whole picture would win over any LR. It isn't that TL wouldn't have support. It was just Purdy was the guy now.

If we can get jimmy back for cheap I'd say sign him again. But if another team offers him more just let him walk and get another vet

Gotta read his contract. It's not cut and dry like a coaches. He's basically on a year to year deal if he wants. He loses a ton of cash if he retires, but I'm sure some other team will pay him all the same.

I suspect that Matt Ryan will be let go from the Colts. He'll come here to the 49ers as the backup. If Brock isn't ready from rehab, or if Trey still hasn't gotten the hang of the offense.
