That's an option, but I doubt he'd sign at a price we'd be willing to pay.
They sound very confident on Brock's timeline so I think the plan will be to run with Trey until Brock is fit, and have a low draft pick battle with a Vet minimum QB for 3rd string/Practice squad.
Brock and Trey for me. Brock had the edge and I would've considered him as the starter until this last injury.
I think we will see Trey's stock really go up. I see his game as Jalen Hurts style. I always campaigned for Hurts before he was popular and considered a bust.

Smh at these comparisons, first it was Mahomes, now it's Hurts lol. Trey ain't neither one them. Trey is a drop back 5 steps and throw with an occasional scramble. He's not a drop back 3 steps and make a quick decision QB, it's not him. And he's not a runner like Hurts either.

Man I hope you're right. Hurts really improved this year, especially his accuracy, but adding AJ Brown will help any QB. Philly has the edge in WR talent over SF, but SF has the edge in RB and TE. So Trey has the right weapons at his disposal to make that jump. I don't see him quite as dynamic as Hurts, I get more of a Steve McNair/Dante Culpepper (2000-2004 version) ceiling at this point.
Matt Ryan looking better and better with each passing day, vet place holder until Brocky Balboa is fully healthy, and would be an excellent mentor for BCB... but would Ryan do that, is he still looking to be franchise qb, would he take less money?

Heck yeah he would he's like 38, the wheels are falling off and if he doesn't retire, he would be ring chasing, we have made back to back NFCCGs and are loaded.
This is Lance's last opportunity to take control in my opinion. Brock solidified himself as the starter next year before that injury so it's on Lance to show that he is better while Bro k is away and make this a legit competition. I'm totally fine rolling with Brock and Trey going into the season but I'd like a vet 3rd string
