The injury excuse to keep him on the roster but inactive on game day. Damage control for drafting a kicker in the 3rd round that can't seem to hit the broadside of a barn.

I remember the justification for drafting a kicker in the 3rd was because they would just end up with another bust if we took another position. Oh how the turn tables

Or we are just making sure he is healthy for week 1 and giving Zane some exposure to drum up trade value.
