This is going to take me as a fan a long time to grow confidence back in Moody

Robbie Gould missed 6 of his 27 kicks his rookie year. Relax a bit and give the kid a chance.

This is a Super Bowl or bust team. We don't have time to deal with rookie growing pains. He was drafted with a third round pick, expectations are higher. First kicks under any real pressure and adversity and he wet the bed. Do you really feel good about this situation in January??

No the terrible offense that put up a Shanahan era low was why they lost.

No Moody's missed FG's cost us the game.

This kid shouldn't be in this situation. Plain and simple.

Rough game for the rookie. On one hand I want to be patient because its not his fault our team overdrafted him. Missing a 41 yard gimmie is pretty rough though.

1/3 this season with any kind of pressure related to the kick IMO (hit a long one in a close game against the Rams).

I mean I agree some..we overdrafted and that isn't his fault..hmm where have we overdrafted before? Lol

We're just gonna have to blow out each team in the playoffs then and not have it come down to a rookie kicker. Was a good strategy for the 1994 team with Brien.

Exactly. Playoff's, Win and go to the Super Bowl or lose and go home.

Moody is missing it.

Not me. Plus, if I'm reading this correctly, he was a career 82% kicker in college and a successful one of the NFL is 84.
A good quality in a kicker is having the memory of a goldfish....

So the San Francisco 49ers, in the midst of a Super Bowl run, dumped the most reliable kicker in the league, who's name is literally Gould, in favor of some dude who's name rhymes with fake doody? Yeah, Robbie was definitely shagging Kyle's wife.

Gould was $ but also cost $. His range was declining and kickoffs were misery. I understand it.

You do? I sure don't. Last article I read stated the team had quite a bit of cap space. Guess we don't have to debate whether O line or secondary is the team's biggest weakness anymore.
When's the last time we've lost a game becuase the kicker missed the game winner?
Robbed Purdy of his first comeback win. Broke Purdy's win streak. Let's see how many more kickoffs he shanks out of bounds and how many FG's he misses. Only takes 1 moss to send this team home in the playoffs.
Who do our PK's stink when it matters most. And every week we play a punter who punts 70 yards? In the rain. Outside.

Seattle in '19? Can't remember.

We missed a game winner against Raiders last year. That went to OT though.

Yep, including 82.9 in his final season. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/jake-moody-1.html
