I don't give a s**t what anyone says. I said it then and will say it now. When you're a Title contender, you don't roll with a rookie kicker when you have Robbie f**king automatic Gould available. Who here feels more comfortable with Moody than Gould if the Playoffs started next week?

You don't have to say it much. There isn't one person on this entire forum that wants to see a playoff game come down to Jake Moody's leg.

The season very well may come down to his kicks. In tight playoff games and end of the season games FGs are important.

Don't forget his tendency to set opponents up at the 40 when he shanks it outa bounds. Thought we got him got his leg, but his kickoffs are either identical to Robbie's or out of bounds. I can give some rookies time to adjust, but not one who can determine the game! This was his time to show he was clutch and he blew it. How many chances would Purdy have gotten if he blew it?

Cost them the gane. Unacceptable

No the terrible offense that put up a Shanahan era low was why they lost.

He cost them the game

Kyle, Brock, Moody. They all played a part In this loss.

Agreed. But 1 guy missed 2 FG, including the one that the other 2 put him in a position to win the game

The kickoff thing is a coaching thing no matter what the coaches are publicly saying. He has the leg to boom every single one out the endzone. They are telling him to try and kick short to cover.

He's still young, but kickers usually don't "develop" much. It's the clutch that matters. Not going to put this all on Moody but this is concerning. We are in a superbowl window and we let go of a verified clutch kicker in Gould. What if this was a playoff game and our season ended?

This is just common sense.
This is on K/L and their genius 3rd rounder move

Exactly......and kyle was owned today by shwartz yesterday today and tomorrow
I still want to believe in the guy. I have not given up yet. But I'm very concerned now. He missed 2 today and a game winner at the end. It was windy and rainy out there. So not perfect conditions. But I'm concerned a lot more now. I hope this doesn't continue.

Post season conditions are even worse. He left 6 on the field and thats not bueno no matter how its sliced. First game winning attempt of his NfL career and he shat it.
First time a team +9.5 lost since 2010. Lame.

Without looking, that is almost certainly wrong.

Are you concerned about Brock? He missed a lot of throws today. Maybe we wouldn't have needed Moody if he had played better. I don't understand why everyone expects kickers to be perfect when they don't expect it from the other players. Maybe it's because they're the only players that can single handedly win or lose a game in the last few seconds.

Brock drove the team down to win the game, only to have fake poopy steal that from him. A come from behind win was all the few doubters left wanted to see and they should have. Yes, Brock struggled today, but when money time came and the game was on the line he delivered. His teammate, for whom the moment was way too large, let him down.

Kickers have one job. They don't get hit, memorize playbooks, watch a lot of film, make audibles, read defenses, get sacked, touch the ball every play, handoff, pass, run, or tackle.

They kick FGs. He missed twice in a one point loss. He's a big part of the loss. The team put their bodies on the line so he can put the ball between the uprights. He didn't come through.

The biggest question is how will the rookie respond. This can become a nice resilience story or could spiral out of control.

Not to mention he played college football in Michigan. No excuses

More like let Cleveland have their way with them.

This team is Super Bowl or bust. Leaving those chances to a choker pisses me off.
