I would love a Robbie reunion but is this the best answer? Wasn't he losing leg strength? Or idk? I really doubt they bring Robbie back. I don't blame Moody as much as I do K/L. Moody really did need to make at least one of the fgs though. Sigh what to do. We cannot have a yipper in the playoffs

At least they would know what they have with Robbie. They could see in practice how far he could hit from. They would at least know he would be good from whatever range. This dude, no. Probably hits 60 yarders consistently in practice, but when you choke because the moment is too big, you don't deserve to be on a championship caliber team.

I'd call up Gould and start looking around the league for vets that have performed well in big moments. Not sure we got many options though left. Biggest mistake Shanahan made was drafting this kid. He is scared and not ready for the NFL. He has too much pressure from being drafted high. No kicker really succeeds after being drafted so high.

Agree with previous poster to just cut Mitchell (who will eventually be injured again this year) and sign another kicker to the 53.

Kyle Shanahan should be fired on the spot if we lose a playoff game because of a missed kick. That's because he decided to not pay a proven veteran who has never missed a FG in the playoffs for a rookie kicker on a loaded SB caliber roster just to save some chump change.

No way to defend that kind of ineptitude of it gets to that. As someone mentioned before, Kyle needs to get his head out of his ass and make this season all about blowing team out like the 94 Niners did so that you don't even need to to depend on your rookie kicker. If he wants to revert to grinding games out in the trenches, and let a rookie make it or break it for him….then time to cut our losses as soon as he botched the game winner in the NFCC game or even worse, the SB
