Dude can't have 1 bad game? Good God.

People don't remember when Gould missed a 41 yarder against the raiders at the end of regulation. But he was lucky and we went to overtime and he got a second chance.

It was Brock's first sh*t game and I don't hear yall calling for a proven vet like Jimmy g

Gould had earned the benefit of the doubt and you knew he'd get it together when it really mattered. Moody hasn't earned that respect yet.

Fair, but it also shows the craziness and zaniness of fans, especially on the internet.

Draft him in the third round? WASTED PICK!

Bad in preseason? WASTED PICK!

Looks great in the first 5 weeks? Shanny is a genius!

Bad game? Man this kid sucks!

Webzone over reaction of course.

I just hope this isn't the beginning of a streak for Moody. I still like the fact he has a strong leg and can kick it out of the endzone unlike Gould. But those game winning kicks are like QBs throwing the 10 yard Outs, you expect kickers to kick those 90% of the time (in a sense). Otherwise might as well try the Hail Mary at that point.

Its just one game. I hope it stays that way.

Still can't believe he missed that kick smh. I just hope It's not the first of many.

The 9ers have some tough games coming up and we'll be needing our kicker to be making those type of kicks.

This happened eight years into Gould's career. He took it hard and vowed to get better.

Moody, "I guess I didnt adjust for the wind"

Wtf?
Moody has such a punchable face
You're an NFL kicker if the HC can't trust you to make a damn 41 yarder your time on any team will be short. Yeah I wanted Kyle get it closer but I totally understand him playing it safe especially how bad our offense was all day and with how things were going disaster could've struck. Moody should've hit a 41 yarder with no problem, it's not like they asked him to hit from 55.
Either you have ice in your veins or not. You can't learn to have it. This is a big worry.
It's funny people now forget goulds crucial misses over the years. Yes, perfect in the playoffs, but missed his share of game winners & FGs that could have put the game out of reach: literally missed game winner walk offs vs raiders last year, Bengals in 2021. Missed several FGs in his career here that would've given us a 2 score lead.

Not excusing moody but let's pump the brakes on Gould never missing a pressure kick

He looks like a drunk, fatter Nick Mullens
Moody is a rookie. Everyone, forgets he was perfect all season until yesterday. This is the first time he has face pressure as a pro. Hopefully this is one of just one of those games and not a sign of his ability under pressure.
I just realized something watching the replay of the kick. He literally aimed for the middle of the dog's nose on the video jumbo tron. Got easily distracted.

This is why I put more blame on Kyle, Brock/Aiyuk, and the offensive line.

Burford got worked by Tomlinson all game.

100%. Sucks he missed, but we have to give the kid a chance. This will hopefully make him stronger.
Remember week 17 last season when Gould missed a 41 yarder in a dome at the end of regulation?

The NFL success rate over the last 10 years on kicks from 40 yards is 80%. That means there's a one in five chance of missing.

Except it seems some fans truly don't know and understand that kicking in Cleveland can truly be a challenge.

Here is Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins talking about just that back in August after he was acquired by the Browns in a trade :

It wasn't as simple a kick as some seem to think. The winds were swirling all day inside that stadium.
