We can't add Moody to the Practice Squad without him clearing waivers first, and a team will take a chance on his just based on his college record.

So the only way to do what you want would be to carry two kickers on the active roster.

Who would you cut to add said veteran kicker?

I already can see it now, Brock drives down the field in the SB in the final mins to set up Moody for the SB winning kick and every 9ers fan will have their hearts in their stomachs
