He missed a field goal today with 2:36 left in the 2nd quarter. LOL
Dude has cost SF two games so far…hated the pick so much. Hated the thought of "going all in" with this roster for a Super Bowl run & then having a rookie kicker.

Nobody is complaining about the 1 seed. This is completely irrelevant. The topic being discussed is a kicker who's a liability. Yes, those games ultimately didn't matter in terms of securing the 1 seed but that tune would change if the Eagles didn't crumble or if Dallas doesn't stumble in a game.

If you are confident in Jake Moody in the playoffs, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

Not a single person was saying prior to this week that Moody was a liability or that they were concerned about our kicking game. Now all of a sudden we need to call up a retired kicker because of one bad game.

Overreactions.

Why would anyone be saying that in the prior weeks when they were winning and he was making his kicks? And it absolutely was called out after CLE and MIN games as well as in preseason . He's been good this year, doesn't mean people should just assume that means he will be clutch when they need it, until proven otherwise it's a valid concern

Pick was terrible from a value perspective. Just no arguing that IMO

The ST coordinator hand picked him

Sweet. Dallas UFA kicker meanwhile having an incredible year (though he did miss his last attempt today I believe).

3rd round picks are for players.

Agreed…I've been saying how I hated the thought of having a rookie kicker on a roster that's all in for a Super Bowl run.

I mean do people really feel like it's automatic when he gets up there? Not sure how fans can feel like that

Bingo. Top 100 pick on a f**king kicker is dumb as s**t.

Kid has even more pressure being on a SB roster and being picked that high. Already cost SD multiple games and now we're heading into the playoffs with a rookie kicker

The overreactions in here are comedy.

He concerns me because Everytime we've needed him to help close out a game, he's failed us. That's great that he's made a bunch of kicks when we are up a ton but he makes me uncomfortable when the pressure is on. Not including the 40 PATs he's barely made. Lol it's stressful
Refresh my memory. Other than the Cleveland game when did he "fail us" by not closing out a game by kicking a key field goal.
This f**k, sucks

He's counting a missed 2nd quarter field goal today for some reason.

this is the key point. you can't have a rookie kicker who hasn't proven himself or his ability to have ice water in his veins to be the kicker in the playoffs in this day and age, where games are tight in the NFL for a team aiming to win the SB. Hope this doesn't come to bite the 49ers in the post season

What he should have said is it ended up costing them a W.

we got a Super Bowl roster with stars all over the place and are depending on a rookie kicker 🫠🥴

I would have rather brought back Gould for one more year…I want someone with ice in their veins kicking in the playoffs. Not a kid who's pushing 38 yards FGs and extra pts

Im not debating that the pick was good (i hated it). What I am saying that its dumb to blame him for the loss in a meaningless game (when they didnt play their stars at all in the 2nd half). He was perfect on XPS all season until today and really just cost the team one time when it mattered. People are losing their minds over it and I think its a huge overreaction at this point

Moody may have just cost us big time. In two weeks, I know we will have to play them again. Sean McVay is smelling blood. This is improved Rams team who can kill us with Kupp, Nacua, Williams etc. Won't be surprised if we come out flat. We could have eliminated one of the Rams or Dallas had we won.

and they should have lost to the giants last week.
