got a big leg but he's shaky. His kicks drift too much.

Dude I knew when he walked up there he wasn't making it.

we have the worst ST unit in football.

It's frustrating to see constant lapses in our special teams. It always shows up at the worst time too.

It's never ending….I don't even remember the last time we had a return for a TD?

Its not great....

According to StatMuse:

Since 1980 49ers have 12 kick return touchdowns (5 since 1998) with the last one in 2018 (Richie James 97-yard kickoff return vs Seattle).

Since 1980 49ers have 16 punt return touchdowns (6 since 1998) with the last one in 2011 (Ted Ginn 55-yard punt return Vs Seattle) FYI he also had a kick return touchdown in that game.
No form, Robbie was way better. The guy kicks like he doesn't gaf what he is doing lol. Robbie was form & finesse. Boot him:)

Maybe last year but not this year. The kicks earlier in the Rams game I noticed bad holds from Wish. Wasn't getting the ball straight and/or stationary in time.

Moody has only had one rough kick this year honestly.
This kid just can't be trusted. I don't care if he makes 50 kicks in a row, when the time comes that the game is on the line, every single person in here knows they're thinking he's going to miss.

Don't get me wrong, it's not his fault they lost to the Rams, that's solely on Shanahan, it's also not his fault (entirely) that they lost to the Chiefs in the SB, but he didn't make the kicks he should have that would have won those games.
Most FG's made this year.

1) Brandon Aubrey 12/13 - 92.3%.
2) Chris Boswell 11/12 - 91.7%.
3) Jake Moody 11/12 - 91.7%.

He's literally 3rd in the NFL in most FG's made. One miss from 55+ range. Nothing else all year. Sorry that doesn't fit your argument. Out of 32 kickers in the league he's currently 3rd overall.

Maybe SWH can come lecture everyone on how great he is

Show me one post I have ever made that says he's great.

Grow up.

You lectured everyone last season, even after he missed a PA in the SB, about his historic season and everyone was so dumb to say anything negative about him

I was trying to provide some perspective on rookie kickers. I didnt lecture people who had negative things to say, nor did I claim his season was historic. You are talking out of your a**, per usual.

You absolutely did. You had to interject yourself, per usual, to let everyone know just how vehemently you disagreed with their takes on moody being shaky and just how wrong their opinions were. Par for the course for you.

Pull up receipts then. What I did in this thread was:

-compared Moody's rookie year to rookie years of all time great kickers to demonstrate how he stacked up
-tell people Robbie Gould doesn't make multiple 50+ yard field goals in the Superbowl

People are constantly overreacting in this thread and you are somehow coming at me for not being one of the ones overreacting. Grow up man.

Clearly ive touched a nerve. So you did reference the historical aspect of his season, interesting, now go pull up all the condescending responses you peppered people with who dared to say he is shaky and can't be trusted in the clutch …after he had just missed a PAT in the SB that went to OT because they gave up a FG at end of regulation rather than having to just prevent a TD, which made it even more laughable And yeah i am going after you because you are the king of hopping on your soapbox and lecturing people on their opinions and how wrong they are. Its obnoxious
Keep it up, Jake.

Top 3 kicker in the NFL right now. People were hating a bit too hard last year. It's one thing to rightly criticize an easy miss, it's another to say he needs to be cut, shouldn't have been drafted, etc.

The guy hit a 53 yard banger to take the lead with under two minutes in the Super Bowl as a rookie. He looks on track this year to being what we thought he could become.

He's been solid but when he does miss, the game is usually on the line. The fact he's 3rd in FGs this year in more a testament to the team's failures in the RZ.

I just don't like it when posters blatantly lie, which you are doing. If I am the king of hopping on my soapbox and lecturing people like you claim, should be easy to pull up a post. I'm not going to do the work for you. Either you drop this and admit you were exaggerating or demonstrate that you aren't pulling stuff out of you a**.

I never said he had a historic season. It was a comparative post to other kickers. Once again, you are speaking total nonsense.

You just pulled one receipt for me after initially denying it lol. I'm not dropping s**t. Nothing I said about you referencing the historical aspect of his season, or you getting all huffy and lecturing people for having the nerve to say he was shaky is inaccurate. You even doubled down after we brought up the missed PAT being the major point of contention , as if that was irrelevant.

Possibly but he's hitting most of them. Which is great. He's up there with the best guys in the league. He really doesn't miss as much as the WZ claims and a 55 yarder is not a gimmie. His percentage says he's a really excellent young kicker. He also kicks through the endzone on kickoffs with the strong leg. Not allowing returns. Which sometimes go for a big one. So he helps like that too.
